Insufficient infrastructure to support new and additional homes such as schools.
Barcheston Drive too narrow to support heavy machinery and vehicles for housing construction and unsafe given the proximity to playground.
Birmingham Road already very busy during peak traffic, will struggle to cope with extra traffic from new homes.

Barcheston Drive already suffers from safety issues due to carriageway width and traffic calming measures. The local bus and waste lorries struggle to gain sufficient access due to traffic calming; addition of construction traffic in relation to proposed allocation will make road very unsafe.
Access to proposed allocation is adjacent to car park entrance to the Village Hall and children's play ground which will become dangerous if the allocation is approved.
The gradient of the land may require additional land to ensure appropriate access is made.

A development of 55 new houses will compound the existing access and egress difficulties. This will reduce the enjoyment of those living in the locality. Access to Hatton Park can be difficult, especially when traffic is diverted from the A46/ M40 onto the A4177 (Birmingham Road). This is becoming more frequent.

Barcheston Drive is too narrow for vehicles during the construction phase. This could present a danger to pedestrians and will damage the local environment.
The children's play area would become more dangerous as it would be next to an access road. Fencing would need to be put in place to mitigate this. The location of the junction with Barcheston Drive is on a corner and is far from ideal.
The housing projections are based on a "blip" in demand and in reality growth may not follow the same trajectory. It is therefoe questionable whether the exceptional circumstances for removing the land from the green belt exist. The proposed access is very steep and additional land would be needed to counteract this - this will impact on the village hall and its parking. infrastructure will struggle to support the additional homes. Birmingham Road is already congested and the additional traffic will increase safety risks. Public transport schools and shops are also lacking and therefore the proposal does not achieve sustainable development. The Local Plan does not address schools health facilities or road improvements.

To maintain our objection to the proposed allocations, etc. of Sites H28 and H53 at Hatton Park and the fact that Hatton Green has still not be classified as a Growth Village or another category created and generally the inappropriateness of some of the sites indicated. They lead to development in far less sustainable and appropriate locations and will be challenged in the Inquiry process.
