The location of the intended allocation is totally unsuitable.
- infrastructure issues
- no special circumstances for this land to be removed from the green belt
- appears to be last-minute addition that has not been properly thought through.
- additional housing to provide for Coventry - not enough evidence to prove that all brownfield alternatives have been utilised.
- site at Hatton Park is not sustainable as there are not enough services, etc. in locality to serve this expanding population.

The proposed site for the erection of 55 new houses can only be accessed from Barcheston Drive where the existing traffic calming features make the road too narrow for contractors plant during construction.
If access is through the Village Hall car park, the recreation and children's play facilities and orchard will require new land allocation. Parking at the village hall is already at a premium when the hall is used for public functions

Dyletswydd i gydweithredu? Heb nodi
1. Access for construction traffic via Barcheston Drive is unsuitable for heavy plant. Buses already find the traffic calming measures problematic and often have to mount the pavement - causing damage and risk to the large numbers of children who live locally
2. Birmingham Road is already busy and has been subject to a number of recent fatalities - additional housing on this site will increase volume of traffic risk
3. The area already lacks efficient infrastructure (schools, shops, transport) so additional development would appear to be unsuitable environmentally so would encourage greater car use.

Object to allocation: -
- loss of rural setting
- impact on wildlife habitats
- currently has few amenities for children apart from village hall play area / orchard / bus stop / parking
- loss of visual amenity
- loss of community amenity
- loss of green belt unjustified - no special circumstances identified
- housing figures known to be inaccurate, based on inflated number of dwellings
- poor access to site
- construction traffic would cause road safety issues and danger to users of play area
- increased traffic would exacerbate congestion
- insufficient local services and facilities

New homes will mean extra traffic. Birmingham Road is already dangerous with so much traffic and cars turning into Hatton Park. The children would be in danger playing on the playground.
There is pressure already on local schools, doctors and public transport. They cannot sustain more residents. Barcheston Drive is too narrow for construction traffic.

Narrow roads, particularly Barcheston Drive are unsuitable for large 'construction' vehicles. Damage will be caused to verges, bollards and cycle/footpaths. Added risk to pedestrian safety.
Likely to lead to destruction of village hall parking area and possibly to play areas and community orchard.
Difficult because of site topography.
Increased traffic and congestion at peak times and throughout the day. Exit from the estate difficult already and increase in road safety issues. There have been fatalities on this road. Use of the other exit at Charringworth Drive will add to the chaos.
A proposal to have traffic signals on A4177 will create further traffic issues with queuing traffic.
Building in green belt is ecologically unsound and there is inadequate infrastructure.
Drainage issues with water running in the lane after heavy rain.
Increased school, health and shopping facilities needed.
Bus service is underused the majority of residents using their own transport.
Proposal is flawed having not been thought through properly.
Potential for site at Oaklands Farm is again designated green belt on a busy road so close to the canal.
No development anywhere until there is planned infrastructure.

Access for heavy plant movements via Barcheston Drive is not viable.
Increased traffic - concerned that Birmingham Road will not cope.
Also, local infrastructure is unlikely to cope with 55 new homes e.g. local roads, facilities etc.
Worried about any impact on the children's play area and village hall.
