policy requires revision.
The enable and promotion must be "locked in" before one brick is even laid.
Policy a bit vague and easily got around. Every house should have fast electric charging points. Either you are serious or you are not.

The draft policy lacks ambition. Active measures should be introduced to facilitate reduction in the need for freight by supporting 'farm to fork' and similar initiatives. Demonstrably safe cycle routes would enable journeys of more than 10km to be achieved by most people with direct payback in improved community health.

I feel that current proposals do not go far enough to reduce pressure/congestion on roads and better support for rail infrastructure is necessary.

I do not agree with this policy as it fails to prioritize sustainable transport. There is not enough emphasis on creating new railway stations, which are essential for reducing car dependency. Without strong public transport options, traffic congestion will worsen, leading to increased carbon emissions and poorer air quality. To support sustainable growth, we must invest in rail infrastructure and alternative transport solutions. Ignoring these factors will only create long-term environmental and traffic issues, making this policy ineffective in addressing future challenges.

there is not sufficient emphasis on on creating new railway stations and parkways to improve transportation links for employment, reducing carbon emissions, and traffic congestion, which is appalling in Stratford.

Stratford has little new job opportunities as most large companies have left Stratford or closed after takeover
By another company
This makes one think who are these homes are built for as extra homes put extra pressure on the poor infrastructure.

It is obvious that since large scale developments have happened in South Warwickshire, along with HS2, that the amount of heavy Lorry’s has increased. This should be connected to the state of the roads deteriorating during the same time frame.
I would like to suggest that it is responsibility, that when planning permission is given to build anything, the developer is made responsible for filling in and making good any damaged roads within a certain perimeter of that development. I will leave it to you to agree how far that perimeter should be.
I can not see why tax payers should have to pay for the damage done by heavy trucks that developers use to make themselves richer.

Active travel opens up additional costs for the local authorities to cover in order to ensure those routes are safe at all times of the day and in all seasons. This necessitates: clear signposts, streetlighting, robust segregation from other traffic, regular street sweeping, gritting, swift repair of potholes and removal of debris.

There will be minimal uptake of rail. Most people moving to the area come from the south and will remain in those higher paying jobs and commute by car - as Wilmcote and Bearly stations will be utterly impractical in terms of getting to Oxford, Bucks, etc......

Traffic problems is a constant stranglehold in Stratford so this is only going to get worse, and don't be counting on electric vehicles as an offset as sales have been dropping across the country. Increased spending on the rail network with links to London is what is required.
