I believe this is an ideal location for a strategic growth area. I understand that bus routes have already been made available to this area or nearby and this would be vital to make sure that it is connected to Coventry as well as Leamington and Warwick so as to end a reliance on needing a car in order to get anywhere which has become a common theme in recent housing development.

having lived in this area for nearly 30 years, this brownfield site has been the topic of much debate, and potentially for industry. Given infrastructure in this area, mixed residential/industry would be possible

Adds to existing well established infrastructure and having airport facilities may make it more attractive to a number of logistics organisations who don’t want to use existing airports. Significant opportunity for expansion if employment opportunities with associated housing for workers who would then have a minimal commute. already provides employment with significant further opportunity for expansion. Business owners do not want to come to a brand new site with no facilities, it is too risky for them in an already challenging economy.

excellent road infrastructure already delivered by the works on the bypass, it would be more logical to be using land like this than pristine farmland. Britian needs better food security for the future so land like this should be the logical solution for development

Both SWLP and Coventry councils need to be realistic about the viability of Coventry Airport battery factory. Many global organisations have looked at this site and assessed it as requiring significant costly infrastructure which the government refuses to financially support. So is this site truly needed?

Agree. Logical location and very much want to see Coventry re-urbanised and developed to make Coventry a great place to live and work. Work should be done on re-urbanising run down areas to stimulate investment, growth and job opportunities and safe places to live. Developing the Airport site is an intrinsic part to this.

Coventry Airport does not have an effective green belt separating Coventry City from SG03. It is very close to plentiful employment opportunities in distribution and warehousing and logistics and the expansion of Coventry airport. It also straddles the A45 and has excellent links to the motorway network and the rail network.

The development would be an opportunity for growth with its close proximity to employment and infrastructure. Very close to A46 and other major road network. Impact on a disused airport site would be a far better proposition than destruction of Green belt land. There is far more scope for development of a revised road network that could cope more easily with increased capacity without very much impact.

Land in this area has already been developed for industrial use and other developments are on the way. If it brings jobs to the area to support the housing developments nearby it would be a good thing. The area Stonebridge Meadows and areas around the River Sowe need to be protected for wildlife. The site has excellent existing road links to A46/M40/M69/M6 and A45/M1

This area is currently a disused airfield surrounded by industry and is af very little value as green belt. If there was ever a csae to re-designate green belt, this is probably it. There are excellent existing road links and employment opportunities, although other infrastructure improvements would be needed (schools, doctors, etc)

Proximity to Coventry makes this site extremely suitable to provide the additional homes needed by the population of the City of Coventry and is well supported by the existing infrastructure with the A45 and A46 with additional close access to the M6. The role of Coventry Airport has diminished significantly in recent years and with power and other essential services already in place it could be completely repurposed for housing.

This is an excellent site for further development having all the associated infrastructure requirements in place.
It is currently a brown field site which would benefit from further development.

Disagree.
In an area this densely populated, accepting and supporting the safeguards that the West Midlands Greenbelt has made to defending identities of our towns and cities; providing access to green-space and preventing urbanisation should not be understated. Of all the proposed greenbelt development areas this is perhaps the most forgivable to consider.
The supporting sustainability appraisal you have submitted suggests that there is enough strategic growth capacity at locations outside the greenbelt to meet the local plan dwelling requirements to 2050.
The exceptional circumstances required to include this land are therefore still not actually met.

This is already an established business development area with excellent road links to M1 and M6.
Proximity to Coventry, so already got good public transport links which would be easy to develop further as needed.
There are currently well known companies operating in that area which would help entice other businesses to invest in that area.
Using a brownfield site rather than using up valuable green belt.

This location is made up entirely of greenbelt land and should therefore be protected from development. No homes should be being built on green belt land as a part of this SWLP, when there are other sites available!
