This seems a more appropriate strategic growth location for inclusion within the plan for several reasons:
1. Excellent road networks and connectivity - Coventry Airport's proximity to major road networks (A45, M6, M40) makes it ideal for development.
2. Strategic Location - lots of existing businesses and amenities in close proximity which could provide employment opportunities and access to services.
3. Commercial use - SG03 already has commercial use nearby and history, meaning planning and approvals might be more streamlined with strong justification compared to other areas proposed.

SG03 is a more appropriate area for strategic growth because it is well connected to major road networks that have recently undergone major works to streamline traffic (A45, M6, M40 are all close by). There is also existing businesses and commercial development happening in the area, so you’re not starting from zero unlike other areas being proposed.

SG01/SG02/SG03/SG07 because of very close transport proximity to the main trunk roads A45/A46.

LIMITED CONCERNS: setting of Roman Lunt fort should be considered but unlikely to be a great concern as much industrial development already in area.
Recommend: HIA prior to allocation.

Please be mindful about where you will have operating traffic due to the primary school on the road named Finham Primary- there has got to be careful consideration for the children of the school and general public and I hear you are trying to install an access bus gate next to the school, I would like to express great concern about this and just thought to be given about the general traffic increase and how this will be managed.
Also I think it would be great for a childrens play park to be built near to Finham.
Will you be building a new school and GP surgery to cater for these individuals.

Minerals and Waste
No objections on mineral sterilisation grounds subject to prior extraction of sand and gravel and building stone and subject to
• Minerals Assessment Report (for assessing the possible impact on mineral resources and determining whether prior extraction is achievable),
• Materials Management Report (for assessing the sourcing and use of construction materials including the availability of on-site materials for reuse/recycling),
• Site Waste Management Plan (a plan for reusing/recycling waste on site and avoiding off-site disposal to landfill)
Highways / Transport
There will be a need for detailed modelling to take place once there is an idea of numbers and more specific locations. The County Council will continue to work with the South Warwickshire Local Plan Team as thinking progresses.
Public transport availability can be assessed once further information is available about numbers and location.
Primary Education
This site is not suitable from an education perspective.
There are no available safe walking routes to schools.
Could consider suitability of places at Ryton on Dunsmore or within Kenilworth. This will depend on numbers.
Significant home to school transport implications.
Secondary Education
Development on this site will require the provision of new secondary places and would have to be linked with other growth to support the delivery of a new secondary school.
