The classification and characteristics of this area as green belt land should be considered. In reality this is a private airfield with no active use. This area is well placed near to the amenities and transport links of Coventry (including London and Birmingham via train) , as well as good access to employment opportunities in Coventry and beyond.

Housing needs can be met without the use of any green belt land.
Very little objective data published on “sustainability rating” of this or any other green belt site.

The destruction of the UK's General Aviation airfields is a dreadful mistake and failure of long term planning and industrial strategy.
It is clear that multi rota drones transporting goods across the whole of the nations airspace in any direction is both an accident waiting to happen and technically difficult. However, Electric and other alternative fueled fixed wing aircraft and drones could have a great future, but they need tarmac runways. To dig them all up for other projects will probably lead to them all needed to be replaced. Save Coventry Airfield!

Planning permission for the Gigafactory is due to expire. No investor has been found. JLR have not delivered on their promised investment. The high pitched noises that emanate from UKBIC have been affecting the health and well-being of Baginton residents for a considerable number of years. The dangers of a Gigafactory so close to a residential village have not been properly thought through and the loss of green-belt land would be catastrophic. An investment in turning the airport back to a fully functioning one would bring further investment to the area as well as supporting the niche trades within.

This development will likely require treatment at Coventry - Finham (STW) Wastewater Treatment Works, this Wastewater Treatment Works has medium capacity constraints and very high environmental constraints. Due to the size of the development, it is recommended that network upgrades will be required, alongside hydraulic modelling and engagement with STW. Overall this development site is considered a medium/high risk location, there is some capacity however in order to accommodate growth, infrastructure upgrades will be required and we would need to work closely to understand build timelines, in order to plan accordingly.

The destruction of the greenbelt is of grave concern.
Given that all maps fail to include the route of HS2, the impact of these plans fail to indicate the how much of Warwickshire is going to be destroyed by these myopic proposals.

Whilst the aim is for people to live close to where they work and for Active Travel to be a priority, it must be acknowledged that people often choose to reside and work in different places. Commuting is the norm and the SWLP must accommodate this. Settlement expansion and locations of new settlements must be supported by transport infrastructure.

As the airfield is no longer in use and businesses are near by providing employment, this would provide a development opportunity even though this is currently green belt land

Coventry Airport is an irreplaceable facility. It supports the UK's aviation and helps in the training of pilots and aviation jobs. In disregard of the NPPF and aviation/defence considerations, aerodromes have been put out of action across the country and it is a very worrying situation. Destroying an functioning airport is insane. General aviation feeds into commercial aviation by providing a way of learning skills, from piloting to aviation mechanics, air traffic controllers, ground maintenance, etc. You can build a factory on any business park but not an airport. One day it'll be bitterly regretted.

Much of this area has already been developed or earmarked for industrial use. It will bring jobs to the area to support the housing nearby. The area of Stonebridge Meadows and River Sowe need to be protected for wildlife. The site has excellent road links to A46/M40/M69/M6 and A45 /M1.

Stop building sprawling car-dependent suburbia. You are killing people with these decisions. Cars kill people, stop making people have to get in their cars to get to places. Build high density walkable neighbourhoods with active travel infrastructure.
Paint is not cycling infrastructure.
Buses are bad public transport.
Don't build any detached houses.
