In principle, as the UK is a wealthy developed country, we should have good transport infrastructure. However, we should be skeptical about the purpose of this infrastructure. Historic evidence strongly suggests that it will result in yet more housing development. With a finite land supply, continued housing development is unsustainable. Therefore, I oppose any transport improvements.

Leamington desperately needs infrastructure improvement for the current traffic issues. No further homes should be built in this area but infrastructure improvement is essential

Again, much ore consideration needs to be taken over how additional road infrastructure will impact existing communities. The Old Warwick Road is already incredibly busy and careful analysis needs to be undertaken to identify whether usage will increase on it as an artery to the new roads. It is already incredibly dangerous and no amount of traffic measures on it will mitigate an influx of motorists.

Most people will use their cars not park and ride and where will that be no space for additional parking at Kenilworth station this project again is too big and unrealistic. Where will all the money come from for these changes will some of it come from our local taxes that will go up with poorer services and a more uncomfortable lifestyle

I agree with the objections already stated that WDC needs are being ignored. Anyone living in or close to Warwick already suffer from congestion on local roads which would increase massively without further road improvements if any further developments take place.

Stratford needs a park and ride to the east as well as the existing one. Also little mention of improving bus services. Currently the services to Wellesbourne do not run at times that people need to get to work and getting to a hospital or railway station is almost impossible by public transport.

In South Warwickshire, particularly North Leamington, Cubbington, Stoneleigh and parts of Kenilworth, we are suffered severe disruption from building of HS2 but it offers no real benefit to residents. Current rail links to Birmingham, Oxford and London are overcrowded and unreliable. New residents to these proposed sights will likely be commuters and current rail and bus links are very poor. There are hardly any bus links thru North Leamington and insufficient cycle paths too.

The Portobello crossroads in Shipston have already been improved with traffic lights. It is the crossroads on the Darlingscott road that need updating. This is a dangerous crossing of the Fosseway. There is also flooding off the fields and from the Gypsy/travellers site on to the road at this junction, particularly a hazard in Winter when the excess water on the road freezes.

The provision of transport infrastructure, particularly active travel and public transport (rail & bus), is vital for the planned growth in housing and population in South Warwickshire. Considering how long transport schemes seem to take to be designed, funded and implemented in this country now, I suspect this provision will need to be maintained for many years.

No. I do not support this. What currently is available is not well maintained, so why would what is being proposed be well maintained. It is not just a matter of adding a new Park and Ride that will encourage people to take a bus - they are expensive and one is better off driving and having their own flexibility - but taking better care of what is already available and making common sense decisions based on user needs and feedback rather than big government directives.

Do we include rail as a sustainable transport choice? It is expensive and unreliable at present. Furthermore, parking at train stations adds even more cost to travel and argueably defeats the point. Where you are proposing rural locations train stations need to be able to offer safer and much cheaper parking facilities, reliable and upgraded plentify service to carry more passengers, especially in rush hour timeframes.

1. Support, in principle, the proposed road and rail projects, their successful implementation depends on a robust and fully costed delivery plan that prioritizes local needs and mitigates potential negative impacts.
2. Relief road projects, require thorough evaluation to ensure they provide long-term congestion relief without exacerbating environmental and community impacts.
3. A fully costed and transparent delivery plan, including clear timelines, funding sources, and impact assessments, is crucial to ensuring these infrastructure projects deliver real benefits for Stratford-on-Avon District and the wider county.

The proposed funding and safeguarding measures fail to address urgent transport issues affecting existing residents, particularly those near town centres who struggle to access essential services due to congestion. There is no clear commitment to tackling gridlock, improving public transport, or ensuring existing communities can travel efficiently in and out of town. Infrastructure plans must prioritize immediate, tangible improvements for current residents—not just future development. Without firm commitments, funding guarantees, and clear timelines, this approach risks worsening congestion and isolation for those already struggling with inadequate transport links. Residents need solutions now, not vague, long-term aspirations.

Road widening and any kind of work on the major roads in our area creates chaos through our lovely villages. We feel this whenever there is a road traffic incident on the A46 between Alcester and Stratford-upon-Avon. The vehicles (lorries, cars, vans, trucks, motorbikes) come through our 30 mph village in a long seamless line of exhaust fumes, risking collisions and accidents - passing by our village school and everyone walking to school. I fear this will become greater and greater, not only whilst the works are taking place but when there is more congestion from new build.
