With a sustainable land supply, continual new settlements are not sustainable, therefore it should not happen. Moreover, the fertility rate in the UK is less than 2 therefore there is no need for new development in the UK.

In general. new bespoke settlements allow for infrastructure to be considered at the planning stage. New settlements do not cause damage to existing small settlements.

Area already built up enough and the current developments are not finished. Do not want the area to become a small town or the two sites Meon Vale and Shackleton joining. Traffic already busy getting to Stratford-upon-Avon, this would make it far worse.

The Long Marston area has been the assumed site of a new town for a long time. It's time to get on with it.

You have had 10 years to build transport links to facilitate the Garden Village at Long Marston. This hasn't materialised. We live at Long Marston Airfield amongst 300 new homes already built. We travel regularly, at peak times, to Tanworth-in-Arden and Redditch. Our 35 minute journey to Tanworth-in-Arden takes 55 minutes at peak times. The bus service is very limited. Assuming the money isn't available to improve the transport links, then E1 must not be built out. The 20-minute neighbourhood isn't realistic, and no-one will want to move to new homes at this isolated site with poor transport links.

This area has potential to expand without causing too much impact as had some development already . Having already been developed previously there is less threat to wildlife as it’s already moved away for the time being . There is open space will little or no trees

Long Marston disused airfield is a prime site for building. With good planning, all the facilities a town needs could be provided within the site, including; schools, GP surgery, dentist, shops, leisure areas, green areas, small to medium businesses. It has good links to Evesham. A new bridge into Stratford should not be needed if all facilities are provided on site.

It would address a significant percentage of the housing requirement in the SWLP alleviating the need for urban development protecting the historic nature of Warwick, Leamington, Stratford and Kenilworth.
– Delivers opportunity to meet differing housing needs as part of a wider community.
– Likely to offer a broader range of housing including the provision of affordable housing for different life stage groups compared to small and medium scale urban development.
– Deliver opportunity to deliver housing alongside employment opportunities.
– Allows for schooling medical and retail to develop alongside the emerging community.

Before extending Meon Vale, the LPA needs to consult with the people who are now living there about the failures of the developers to deliver environmental benefits/mitigation.

This area is more suitable as it is not prime agricultural land and is previously developed land due to the use as an airfield. It is close to a good transport network. It is close to Stratford for employment opportunities and facilities.

Due to the size of development built so far it would make sense to add to the current development to create a new town and include all the infrastructure that was due to be built including schools, surgeries, etc.

The greenway would seem to be an ideal, almost ready made active travel corridor, that just needs an all weather surface and lighting to improve it. Couple that with an e-bike/e-cargo bike hire/shared use scheme and you could potentially keep a lot of car journeys out of Stratford. Especially if the new settlement can supple day-to-day retail needs for food and cafe/working space. It also ties in with the existing Meon Vale development in that area. I would fund the active & public transport in preference to the SWRR that will induce more car usage.

The B4632 Campden Road is already at capacity, it cannot sustain further traffic from more development, especially to the size of potential site considered here. Why is the proposed development covering such a large area? There has already been significant development at Long Marston airfield, why not limit the size of development to the original long marston airfield and look for other areas. This would limit the impact on road network that is already struggling in this part of South Warwickshire.

I do not agree with long marston airfield, it will substantially increase traffic through Mickleton , it will also increase traffic through Ilmington and Armscote because of using it as a cut through to avoid main roads, whilst these are classed as B roads route Armscote is very narrow, it isn’t suitable for HGVs yet they come through that will only increase , have noticed significant increase in traffic through armscote since new developments on Meon vale area already over past few years including all delivery drivers Amazon DPD also not sufficient infrastructure in terms of schools GP surgery hospital

This land is already undergoing significant development, which the local area is already struggling to integrate. It is a nonsense that inhabitants will not travel for work. Large employers are on the other side of Stratford, in Warwick, and Birmingham. This all relies on the road into Stratford. Further development of this area to the scale noted in the Consultation will have an enormous impact on the surrounding area. The scale of this is completely unsuitable.
