Ensure employment areas, facilities and services are given priority so residents don't have to travel to nearby towns. Make it the sort of settlement where people have everything they need on their doorstep

This location has good connections to existing road infrastructure and nearby employment opportunities.
Congestion would be considered during the early stages of development rather then retro-fitting into existing road networks.
A settlement here with associated facilities would ease the pressure on Stratford-upon-Avon - although consideration to the river crossing points needs further thought.
Development here would prevent urban sprawl in existing towns and protect greenbelt.
Good potential for rail connections to Honeybourne or with a direct connection utilising the nearby Innovation Centre.
This settlement can be driven by strategic opportunities and not available land.

Development of this are would minise conjestion for Stratford Upon Avon, a strategically important part of England heritage which is being choked by commuter traffic and has no expansion capability. The area would minise the further loss of green belt wildlife areas and stop the urban sprawl.

I do NOT agree with the proposed new settlrment location because -
1 Parts of F1 location is pending consideration for planning permission for a Solar farm.
2 Part of F1 is an established solar farm.
3 F1 is owned by several land owners, one of which may not agree to sell the land.
4 F1 access would be via two busy roads (A425 & B4455 Fosse Way) making transport links difficult.
5 Consideration should be given to the potential health risks of "Electro Magnetic Fields" from the existing solar farm and
overhead electricity cables that transverse the land.

New settlements are preferable to adding to oversubscribed existing towns and congested roadways. They are driven by strategic opportunities not arbitrary land availability and do not add to the urban sprawl and pressures in existing infrastructures. Such sites do not impact greenbelt land which should be always preserved. Furthermore, it does not add to the urban sprawl or congestion of Stratford upon Avon. With excellent road connections and the potential for rail connection with the rail innovation centre connecting to the Honeybourne line, job opportunities and quality of life are greatly enhanced.

I believe this location is already proving its worth as a new settlement and should now be treated as one in all aspects. It has the space not only to provide significantly towards the areas housing needs, but also for the associated infrastructure originally proposed for Middle Quinton. The existing road links provide access to job opportunities in South Warwickshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire, and there is opportunity to add a rail link using the existing line to the West Coast Mainline via Honeybourne

I object to the development of Long Marston Airfield and surrounding land as a new mixed-use settlement unless essential infrastructure improvements are made, including upgrades to the B4632 Campden Road, a relief road around Stratford, and sustainable travel options. The site is inadequately connected to major transport routes, hindering its sustainability and potential for employment. Although I initially supported a development of 3,500 dwellings, this was contingent on necessary traffic infrastructure being established. As no funding exists for these projects, I oppose further phases of development without these improvements in place.

As a brown field land this is more suitable for a new settlement, there is better access there already, more room for schools and health centres, there is already a shopping centre and industrial estates .
There is access to nearby motorway and good roads to Banbury and Oxford areas.

This would add to an existing development with some facilities and the space to build more infrastructure.
It would also take some of the traffic from Stratford.
This is brown field land which is preferable for housing development.
There is fortunately an existing railway line which could be updated and run to Honeybourne giving wide access.

The region offers promising job opportunities, well-developed road networks, and potential for a new Chiltern line railway station and High Speed 2 (HS2) connections, enhancing accessibility. Strategic development can reduce congestion in Stratford, meet housing needs, and preserve greenbelt land by avoiding urban sprawl and incorporating essential infrastructure. Long Marston Airfield is being developed for housing, leveraging existing facilities sustainably. These efforts highlight the region’s commitment to responsible urban planning, ensuring community growth is managed efficiently and with minimal environmental impact.

The development could meet all housing requirements without impacting the environment and the green belt. New settlements such as these are a better option as they reduce urban sprawl which affects existing infrastructure such as roads, sewage, drainage and pressures on hospitals and schools.
The development will provide opportunities for new schools, towns, hospitals, surgeries and shopping complex. There is also a potential for new rail connections with the rail innovation center connecting to the Honeybourne line.

Land E1 presents an ideal opportunity for sustainable growth while alleviating congestion pressure on Stratford. This site can meet housing needs with minimal environmental impact, protecting Green Belt land and avoiding the urban sprawl that strains existing infrastructure. Its potential rail connection to the Honeybourne Line via the Rail Innovation Centre enhances regional connectivity. The scale of development allows for integrated infrastructure, including new schools and medical facilities, ensuring a well-planned, self-sufficient community. Development here prioritizes strategic opportunities over mere land availability, making E1 a forward-thinking choice that supports sustainable expansion while safeguarding Stratford’s historic and environmental integrity.
