Representation ID: 96531

Received: 05/03/2025

Respondent: Shipston Town Council

Representation Summary:

The list road improvements for Stratford-upon-Avon District includes Portabello Crossroads, Shipston-on-Stour (A429/B4035). This junction was signalised several years ago so what further works are planned? If none, then this junction needs removing from the list. This example also raises a question regarding the currency/accuracy of the IDP Part 1 and its supporting evidence documents.

Do you agree with the approach laid out in Draft Policy Direction 5- Infrastructure Requirements and Delivery?

Representation ID: 96532

Received: 05/03/2025

Respondent: Shipston Town Council

Representation Summary:

Where there are a number of smaller separate developments within/surrounding a settlement these must not be assessed individually for S106/S278/CIL monies as has been done historically but must be taken together so that the cumulative impact can be mitigated in a worthwhile and meaningful manner. Furthermore, the impact of new developments must take into account the deficiencies in existing infrastructure. The assessment of strategic infrastructure requirements must not be limited to new settlements. Existing settlements also need infrastructure improvements

Do you have any comments on a specific site proposal or the HELAA results?

Representation ID: 96535

Received: 05/03/2025

Respondent: Shipston Town Council

Representation Summary:

An analysis of the HELAA B results is embedded in the attached document. It indicates the unacceptability of the Call for Sites areas both across the river in adjacent Parishes to Shipston on Stour and some within the Town itself. However, it does indicate that, with required improvement in infrastructure delivered before further development an addition of 667 dwellings (HELLA B figure) may be feasible in the SWLP period. No attempt has been made to include any windfall figures. Dunsmore & Feldon (area 96) has not been included in B.5.4.1 (Appendix B)
