Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Proposal to build homes between Tachbrook and Leamington is a kick in the teeth for residents. It will increase light pollution making stars less visible. I chose to live in a village not a light polluted urban jungle. Once the green belt is lost it will be lost forever. Proposal will increase antisocial behaviour as young people will move ever closer to the village.
Brownfield sites should be used or smaller areas of land to the north and east of Leamington.
If this development goes ahead it will be difficult to sell properties and house prices will go down.

More housing on brownfield sites within Leamington- the ford founday site could take far more housing it is 45 acres in size?

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Sites such as baginton airfield would be better. Increasing the size of existing villages is difficult unless there is adequate infrastructure.

An over provision for future commecial developments - some should be reallocated for housing use.

Future needs of Bishops Tachbrook should be limited to satisfy requirements of the old and the young only.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

The option to spread small scale development across the 22 villages which could provide a significant number of homes to meet future needs has not been considered This would reduce the impact on traffic, schools and support services.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Housing survey conducted in Bishops Tachbrook of 500 of the 750 households concluded 15 homes were needed not 4,200.

Houses should be developed south of Finham as local people said in previous consultations.

Brownfield sites should developed first, e.g. Coventry Airport, Arches Leamignton Spa, Ryton.

Develop 10 to 20 houses in each of the 22 villages in the District every 5 - 8 years.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Why the old Peugeot site, now demolished, adjacent to the A45 between Ryton and Coventry Airpost, has not been considered for development within this process? The land is brownfield, adjacent to convenient link roads, within Warwickshire and nearer to its infastructure (Ryton is served by Warwickshire County Council). Such development would undoubtedly cause less irreversible environmental damage, indeed it could benefit the local environment, with inclusion of green spaces in any new development. Could the land value, and the benefits to Coventry and Warwickshire, financially, be less for such a site, rendering it less [financially] attractive?

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Warwick University was encouraged to build more halls of residences these homes would be free for local residents.

Finham land should be reserved for WDC allocation not Coventry.

Housing market is already in a depressed state, building of more homes is only going to leave more functional homes empty.

No. No. No. Just read the above regarding your (developers') choices.
NOTE
At a recent meeting at Guy's Hall, Warwick School, the Council Leader stated that these were "developers options." So what hope of an unbiased and democratic approach to future population growth and protection of existing standards of quality of life.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

It would be better to build more halls of residence at Warwick University which would free up about 1000 houses in Leamington currently used for student accomodation. I understand there are a number of brown field sites that could be developed for housing to space green spaces.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Consider the Whitnash community and look again at the options for building houses.

Seems easy to build on countryside yet there are so many empty buildings left unused. Only 75 on Fords but 200 next to Campion School and thousands in Whitnash. Queensway, Station Approach and the Peugeot site.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Over 20 villages in the Warwick District could be included in small scale developments growing in a traditional, sustainable, organic fashion.

Build on brownfield sites, e.g. the ex Peugeot site. This could be an alternative to the Finham site.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

As before need traffic impact survey etc. More traffic will worsen the air quality in the area,
Schools and health services in the area will be unable to cope with the number of new residents. 4200 residents, with, on average, 4 people in each, will mean an extra 17000 residents.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

New homes should be built within the district boundary at Finham and Burton Green. It is inappropriate to release land at Finham for Coventry's building requirements.
It is more appropriate to develop housing at Hatton Park and around other small pockets of land to spread the impact.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Object - proposed housing should be located at alternative sites such as Finham, which was the preferred location of local people when asked in 2007/008.

There are at least 1000 houses in Leamington used for student accommodation. Students should be accommodated at Warwick University thus freeing up the properties, thereby requiring fewer houses to be built. Resutl: Less travel, less pollution.

Development could be spread around 22 villages in District - 10 to 15 houses every 1 years or so, so that by 2026 a significant number would be built.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

On the recent Housing Needs Survey conducted in Bishops Tachbrook demonstrated that the village requires only 15 new homes. Object to the 4200 houses proposed between Bishops Tachbrook and Warwick Gates would threaten the village's character and identity as a separate settlement, and reduce the quality of life for the communtiy here and in Whitnash and on Warwick Gates. Housing should be located around the District to accommodatehousing needs over the next 18 years.
