District council should not relinquish any land for this use. Bad experience of previous and existing sites elsewhere.
Threat to village way of life.
Encroachment into countryside.
Will planning law be relaxed similarly for other land owners?
Would cause havoc on Banbury Road at its junction with Mallory Road -dangerous road with many accidents. Would worsen with larger vehicles trying to negotiate access.

Access is from a very busy road which is unsuitable. there is no pedestrian access to and from this site. It will also add to the sense of isolation and prevent the Gypsy and Traveller Community from integrating into the local neighbourhood.
A Gypsy and Traveller site on the approach to Historic Warwick is not in keeping with the local surroundings and will have a negative visual impact on the on this area. It will create a negative perception and could damage the local economy.
This site contains listed buildings and will have a detrimental effect on the area in trms of visual impact.
The school in Bishop's Tachbrook is operating to capacity. gypsy and traveller pupils are more likely to have special educational needs. The school may not be able to provide the support required.

Site would put undue pressure on a busy GP surgery.
The primary school is already at capacity.
The Gypsy and Traveller community are more likely to need specialist educational needs which the school cannot cater for.
Public transport is limited within the parish with no pavements adjoining the sites - pedestrian access would be dangerous.
Access to the road network from site is dangerous.
Very close to the M40 which could negatively impact on the residents' well-being through noise and traffic fumes.
There is a strong potential visual impact on the approach to historic Warwick. There are also listed buildings on the site.
Tourism in Warwick is very important to the local economy and any impact would severely damage the town.
There is very strong local opposition to the site - it would not promote a peaceful and integrated co-existence.
The A452 is a busy route and dangerous route. There are few local services nearby so those that do exist are likely to be put under undue pressure.

It is wrong that this site is allocated for people who choose to live by a set of parameters of their own making (often outside the law) and who pose a threat to the peace and quiet of Bishops Tachbrook. There must be a piece of ground somewhere in Warwickshire that would better suit Gypsies and Travellers.

Access off A452 would require 2.4 X 160m vis in both directions. Not recommend use of ex Tachbrook Hill Farm access as opp ex junction; not rec access any closer to M'way junction. To north of Tachbrook Hill Farm access should be in advance of ex traffic calming features. Access from Mallory Rd not recommended. May be issues of forward vis due to vertical alignment. Forward vis of 160m req at all sites.

Understand gypsy community not in favour of internal toilet facilities which will upset locals.
Concerned about how site will be monitored in terms of number of people living there, security, crime levels, paying of taxes etc.
Who will pay for monitoring, policing, cleaning up, reduction in property prices, increases in insurance costs?
Impact on visual amenity, local services (schools etc.) and infrastructure and the general disruption to local community.

Asiant : SCC
Location is unsustainable and fails to meet Council's criteria for gypsy and traveller sites.
Mallory Court Hotel is the only hotel one with a Michelin Star restaurant and attracts a wide range of local, national and international visitors and substantial economic benefit to the local economy. The hotel's reputation will suffer if site is allocated nearby and threatens viability of further investment eg £10m loss to economy if recently approved Spa and bedrooms not developed
Site cannot be integrated into the landscape without harming the character of the area, which includes the reputation of Mallory Court Hotel.
Will all have a visual impact upon the character and amenity of the local area.
Highway network is unsafe for the type of use proposed and the Fosse way is particularly busy. There is no footpath or cycleways. Roads are dangerous and not safe for young children.
No capacity at nearest doctor's surgery. The local schools are at capacity. Site will increase pressure on scarce resources.
No mains utility services - gas, sewerage or drainage. Significant costs to provide it.
Loss of land used for livestock and arable farming will lead to deterioration of the rural environment over time.

There is unlikely to be capacity at the school or health centre in Bishops Tachbrook to support the needs of this site. There are also safety concerns about large vehicles turning off busy roads such as Banbury Road, Mallory Road and Europa Way.
The site could have an impact on infections for the National Guide Dogs Breeding Centre.. Tghe proposals could also have a negaitive impact on Oakley Wook and the peaceful setting of the crematorium.
