The proposed development at Danzey Green is unsuitable due to highway constraints, environmental impact, and infrastructure strain.
Danzey Green, and the area surrounding it, is of prime rural importance, with rare wildflower meadows, left fallow for long periods. Orchids are finally returning to the area.
Being so close to conurbation areas it is important to retain such buffers.
At present, the local rural roads are used by cyclists, ramblers, horse riders, as well as the many tractors etc. This would not be possible if traffic inevitably increased.
The site is Green Belt too, contravening NPPF Paragraphs 142-144.

I wish to object to the proposed developments around our villages. I live in Kineton but have strong links to Tanworth-in-Arden and Wellesbourne. While I've seen new housing benefit local shops and communities, these developments would transform our villages into towns without the necessary services. The increased traffic, especially in Kineton, would create significant issues at narrow junctions. Additionally, the Labour Party's manifesto promised housing on brownfield sites, yet these proposals target green fields, which would permanently damage the natural environment. I urge a reconsideration of land around existing towns for housing, as South Warwickshire's villages should remain distinct.

Better to put an isolated hole in the Green Belt near transport links than induce sprawl of larger towns towards each other.

The land is clay and holds a very high water content for at least 3 months of the winter. Building on this land would have a considerable impact on the water table and run off during the winter months and/or periods of heavy rain.

Location has the potential for rail station connectivity. Additional land adj to the M42 could be allocated to serve strategic employment needs. Site A1 could also assist in meeting unmet housing needs from Redditch/Bromsgrove.

The Government and local authorities should be developing policies to bring under-used existing dwellings (ABNBs, second homes, etc) into the housing market rather than developing on green belt and rural land.

I strongly object to the proposed A1 housing development in Henley-in-Arden, particularly over Mockley Wood, due to legal, environmental, and infrastructure concerns. The area is home to Great Crested Newts, a protected species under UK law, making development legally challenging and financially unviable, as mitigation measures cost millions of pounds. Additionally, ancient trees listed on the Ancient Tree Register would be lost, violating conservation laws. The road network, including Gentleman’s Lane and Forde Hall Lane, is inadequate, and local schools and healthcare are already under strain. This unsustainable, costly, and damaging proposal must be firmly rejected.

Any planning proposal for the countryside south of Tanworth in Arden threatens important green belt land and wildlife habitats. This area, valued for its natural beauty should be protected. Development here would harm local wildlife and negatively overwhelm infrastructure of the ancient village community. The SWLP should prioritise brownfield and greyfield sites or even areas of flat land that do not provide an aesthetic or environmental benefit, instead of irreversibly destroying beautiful areas of countryside. It is important to preserve the beauty and wildlife of this area for the health, wellbeing and enjoyment of the local community and future generations.

The size of this development is disproportionate to the surrounding villages and amenities and roads.. Access from settlement A1 will lead to dangerous use of narrow country lanes/ villages as cut through;, lanes used by horses, cyclists and walkers. This parcel of land includes Mockley Wood, an outstanding area of English bluebells with associated wildlife. A MUCH smaller development should be considered instead.

This is a logical area for a new settlement given the provision of new housing in this site, and the availability and suitability of Site 758. It already has committed landowners and is not reliant on call for sites. Part would be highly attractive to B2/B8 businesses. It has no known constraints. It already has 2 bus services and 2 railway stations. Its proximity close to Tanworth in Arden and nearby villages will help support services and facilities. It is close to the conurbation, and for commuting, in addition to public transport, also has easy access to the motorway network.

The site is ecologically significant and contributes to Green Belt objectives, with sensitive terrain unsuitable for development. Located less than 2 km from Tanworth in Arden. It lacks adequate infrastructure and utilities. Danzey Station's hourly train service will not support a large settlement. The area includes listed buildings, a Conservation Area, and narrow flood-prone roads needing upgrades that could affect wildlife habitats. Woodland beneficial to wildlife is present. Bearley and Wilmcote provide more sustainable options with better transport links, canal towpaths, A34 access, and proximity to major roads.

A1 at Tanworth in Arden is excessive in size and will ruin the character of the rural area, and encourage dormitory suburbs.
Hamlet Way CV370AL has 140 dwellings in 0.86ha: this density could achieve 8000 dwellings in 50 hectares including roads and open spaces.
Such huge swathes as A1 are not needed to house 20-40 year olds in their early career, many of whom may not want a whole house and garden to look after- much less afford that! Low rise flats and maisonettes can look like houses. Please build them into rural villages.

Poor road connections leading to congestion around historic Henley in Arden - the High Street and crossroads are already a traffic bottleneck. We need farmland for food. We should not be turning villages into towns, we will lose our national rural characteristics.

If houses are going to be built I think Tanworth in Arden is a better place to build
It has great roads to link with the motorway network
Birmingham with all its city attractions
Redditch with major employers and large industrial estates ,many units sitting empty
Great golf courses for recreation
This would allow Birmingham to grow organically and allow its inhabitants to spread out without breaking into new areas.
