other sites are less harmful to green belt. This site would go a long way to linking Birmingham to Redditch

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

This is rural, undulating, green belt land with limited facilities and rural road transport routes.
A new settlement would completely change the nature of the countryside which is used as rural walking country by people living in the main towns of the area. It provides a "green lung" between the major settlements of Solihull, Birmingham, Stratford and Warwick.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

There is already a huge housing estate of 236 homes currently being built less than two miles away from this area. Combined with the new Amazon warehouse (one of which still sits empty) there has been an incredible amount of destruction to trees and wildlife habitat in such a small area. The Green Lung is being decimated, and development in A1 will only cause further damage. When the current infrastructure is already on it's knees, the area simply cannot cope with anymore new housing developments. GP's, hospitals, roads, services and schools are not fit to facilitate any increase in capacity.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

The land A1 is unobstructed rolling greenbelt with wild ponds, birds and deer frequenting the area. The proposed area leads into a valley with a stream running through, so would be a future flood risk for new housing. This area has recently been planted with trees to recreate the forest of Adren. There are plenty of grey belt areas that can be used without destroying the small amount of green belt remaining in this country.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

No I live here currently and the countryside is beautiful and peaceful. Our house and our neighbours has an unobstructed view of open countryside and is home to lots of wildlife. There are other more suitable sites that have already developed. There has been an incredible amount of destruction to trees and wildlife habitat in such a small area. The Green belt is being decimated, and development in A1 will only cause further damage. The current infrastructure simply cannot cope with anymore new housing developments. GP's, hospitals, roads, services and schools are not fit to facilitate any increase in capacity.

There are no exceptional circumstances to warrant development in the green belt as there are sufficient strategic growth locations outside of the green belt.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

The placement of large scale housing would seriously impact on road capacity, and there are insufficient facilities in Tamworth in arden, Earlswood and wood end to support such a large development. Whilst basic facilities may perhaps be addressable as part of the development, schools, nurseries, take staffing so it would over load existing facilities. Moreover, the placement of large scale housing development would make a poorly maintained b-road (the common) take an A-road capacity with no room for expansion and endangering residents and their quality of life in the process.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

I believe this is Green belt area. The former Forest of Arden. This area and its services are already overburdened by heavy traffic. Recent development decisions have turned the local area into an eyesore (The Amazon building and it's vacant counterpart warehouse; the destruction of a local birch forest to make way for more houses is criminal). This development would see far heavier traffic on A435 and would destroy the character of the local area.

We need to keep our green areas there is already too much traffic around the area the roads around our area is always very busy when the motorways are busy traffic flow through village can be very busy and dangerous including extremely big Lorrie’s and cars going at speed a lot of houses already in the area don’t have footpaths so walking dogs is extremely dangerous already our house has been hit several times due to traffic speeding

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Too much destruction of wildlife habitat in the local area already. Two new housing developments and a huge warehouse that still lies empty are minutes away from this suggested area. The infrastructure cannot cope with an increase and it is not logical or sustainable.

Areas of green belt and significant harm to character of landscape. Important to keep a green separation distance from Solihull and avoid urbanisation sprawl. One of the worst options for employment.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

The proposal for 6,800 new homes in Bearley would have significant impacts. It would destroy Green Belt land forever, harm biodiversity, and replace countryside with urban sprawl. Increased flooding risks, loss of trees and wildlife, and reduced green space would follow. Local roads would face more traffic, affecting all nearby villages and Stratford town. The development would also increase air and noise pollution, strain local services like GP surgeries, and overload infrastructure like water and sewer systems. Ultimately, it would damage farmland and our special countryside, with worsening effects & pressure on the community.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

This site has little or no infrastructure for travel etc. One train an hour to Birmingham/Stratford and viirtually no buses. No sustainable low carbon transport options for business or leisure. Inadequate roads. Huge costs to rectify this even if possible. Multiple accessibility and sustainably issues in an area that could be termed remote in this sense.Any development would be highly visible because of the nature of the terrain. Hedgerows would be destroyed and the environment including nearby listed buildings damaged. Others better - for example Bearley looks to be one much more sustainable and deliverable.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

The local area has already been subject to new housing approvals which has had a significant impact on the local infrastructure, road safety and community well being.
Due to the increase in road traffic, Tithe Barn lane's road surface has been completely destroyed in several areas with no sign of repair.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

A1 South of Tanworth
This site is in very open countryside and Green Belt. Tanworth village is a discrete Conservation Area that attracts many weekend visitors . There is little existing infrastructure and that is already overstretched. This is a unique part of the West Midlands Green Belt under extreme pressure from agressively expanding Redditch, Birmingham and Solihull. The M42 and the railway line to Henley may be superficially attractive to planners, but they also represent threats to many of your stated Strategic Objectives 1, 3, 7, 8 and 9.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Transport infrastructure - cannot deliver sustainable travel behaviour, very poor train infrastructure, one line, limited service, between Birmingham and Stratford only. Surrounding road network is typically narrow country lanes with high hedges, unsuited to high volumes of traffic.
Utilities infrastructure is poor - regular power cuts, poor wifi and phone signals.
Unsuitable on landscape grounds - very hilly, open location, susceptible to frequent surface water flooding, green belt area sensitive from a heritage and setting viewpoint, with listed buildings and conservation areas nearby, the proposed building densities are completely out of character for the area, high value area for biodiversity.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Location is unsuitable as it is a sensitive open, hilly, hedgerowed area with roads that regularly flood. The area has a severe lack of infrastructure with very limited sustainable travel options. Danzey has limited services.
Biodiversity and wildlife would be severely impacted along with the village of Tanworth in Arden that has high visual sensitivity.
I agree that this this is one of the least sustainable new settlement options being considered.
