Adds to existing well established infrastructure and as a large town, it already provides employment with significant further opportunity for expansion. Business owners do not want to come to a brand new site with no facilities, it is too risky for them in an already challenging economy.

The development of this area will in effect remove the last strand of greenbelt between Coventry and Burton Green / Kenilworth. The greenbelt has already been severely damaged and curtailed by the construction of HS2, and any further reduction in the area will mean that Kenilworth becomes a suburb of Coventry. The University of Warwick is planning an Eco Park on their portion of this land. Connecting this up with the existing areas of woodland on the site into new habitats to enhance nature would both increase biodiversity and ensure the essential greenbelt corridor between Coventry and Kenilworth remains.

This area is not being appropriately assessed, is mostly in Green Belt and should not be considered as part of the Strategic Growth Plan. The current weighting of 6% appears very low and not an effective well performing area of Green Belt.
This area comprises of good quality agricultural land and the value this plays should play a bigger part in the assessment. The wider economic issues means we should not be removing land which we use to grow our food locally. Avoiding this category of land for housing development is advised in the National Planning Framework.
Lack of infrastructure.

makes better sense to use land already supporting housing with ready made facilities, shops and infrastructure than manu of the small villages already struggling for these

Agree. Logical location and very much want to see Coventry re-urbanised and developed to make Coventry a great place to live and work. Work should be done on re-urbanising run down areas to stimulate investment, growth and job opportunities and safe places to live

Too much and too big a development, starting to join Kenilworth to Coventry. They are SEPARATE. There should be NO development on the Kenilworth side of HS2. Traffic in this area is already congested and road infrastructure is not suited to further vast increases in traffic.

We should preserve Green belt.
We are aware that South Warwickshire is bounded by Coventry and Redditch and there may be unmet needs from those areas that have to be accommodated. However, it is clear from comments on this matter in the previous inspector's Report (2017), that development to meet the unmet needs of Coventry will need to be located adjoining Coventry, rather than the edge of Leamington and other villages. The same principle would apply to Redditch.

The area of SG01 has many plusses for residential capacity development, in that the employment sectors are so near, with far easier transport links to the road network. The northern portion lies outside Green belt, and HS2 has already carved a noisy corridor through existing Green belt which can be somewhat regenerated along with new infrastructure build to mitigate impact. The total area of this land is more than 3 times larger than SG04, and will more than satisfy the strategic growth requirements between Kenilworth and Coventry. This land could be considered in part, retaining some areas of Green belt.

This site includes Warwick University land. Already lots of development in this area and as the councils are in favour of developing land for the university it seems lots of damage has already been done to this area. There must be some brownfield site within SG01. The University is a large employer and to add additional development to the area is probably less destructive to the green belt than creating a new site.

The area is mainly green belt land (and what has been withdrawn from green belt shouldn’t have been) and is good quality agricultural land that should be used for food production. It does not score well as a sustainable development option using council methodology and SG01 is much smaller than it seems given that a good proportion of it is in the University of Warwick site giving zero housing. A lack of infrastructure is identified by the Sustainability Assesment, our roads cannot cope with more population nor can our schools or health care facilities. The area has suffered enough development.

High harm, low sustainability scoring compared to other options.
The green belt has been inappropriately assessed, performs well and should not be considered for housing as is quality agricultural land needed for local food production and UK self sufficiency.
Insufficient infrastructure (schools, roads/ primary care planned, insufficient budget. Previously assessed as unsuitable for housing.
No consideration to very close large Solihull developments over 1000 houses also assessed as high performing green belt.
Solihull, Coventry & Warwick have overestimated the number of houses needed for for the region.
