I disagree with the selection of this area for redevelopment to housing. The flooding in the local area worsens each year, this area is a flood plain. Just this week (6/1/25) the A46 dual carriageway was closed for 24 hours following a collision, a vehicle aquaplaning over flood waters coming from this very site., causing traffic chaos throughout the day in Warwick. Covering the area with hard surfaces would only worsen the issue to surrounding areas. The development would also only have one exit, onto the Hampton Road, as the other side of the development is blocked by a railway.

The site has no access to either A4177 due to the railway line and A46 or A46. It is NOT within a ten minute walk of Warwick Parkway as there is no nearby public access across the A46 or railway line. The only way in or out would be past the racecourse to Hampton Street or A4189, which would entail over a half mile drive in to Warwick town centre and even further to Parkway or A46

I agree with SG08 being included in the plan for housing only. It must however include good provision for road layout that does not impact current residents. i.e. the roundabout to Chase Meadow was never built despite being on original plans. The road is fast and will need 1. decent traffic measures to slow traffic and 2. ensure that getting in and out of Chase Meadow is not impacted by a new housing development.

Anything near St Mary's land in Warwick should be rejected. There are constant flood alerts and Gog Brook is unable to cope with anymore run off. The racecourse and football club are already piping water into the brook and the Hampton rd had badly flooded in the past.

Warwick and the surrounding areas simply don't have the road infrastructure to cope with additional housing so close to the town centre. A significant amount of housing has already been added in the south of Leamington/Warwick which has caused a significant increase in congestion in getting in/out/around the the local area during peak hours/weekends. Given the high density of schooling, getting in/out/through Warwick is already quite challenging at those time as well, without adding more traffic. New housing would be better suited in new the new settlement format where it won't add to the already overloaded infrastructure.

A good area close to Warwick to maintain better density, and can serve to connect Chase Meadow and Budbrooke Industrial Estate

Will cause complete chaos during the construction.
Totally disrespectful to current residents.
Will create more traffic issues on the A46 and the roads to Warwick.
Will devalue our properties. Is there a compensation scheme?
Protecting the Arkwright legacy is absolutely stupid. Who cares other than the Arkwrights.
Why choose green sites that will affect existing properties when brown sites or green sites not affecting other properties could be chosen.
Shame on you.

SG08 is either already in or directly adjacent to a highly populated area. The road infrastructure is already in place

I am not overly against this location but also not a big supporter of developing this area given that SG07 is just up the road and could be expanded further into the future if required.

I wish to object to the proposed housing sites in Budbrooke Ward. Having lived in Hatton since 2001 and now in Hampton Magna, I am concerned about the destruction of open landscapes and farmland. I have lifelong injuries that make road safety essential, and I want to protect Budbrooke from increased traffic. The green belt is vital for our well-being and cultural heritage. Additionally, with Warwick Hospital facing overcapacity issues, more housing will exacerbate traffic and pollution, putting lives at risk. I would appreciate your help in voicing my concerns.

West of Warwick has largely remained rural with extensive Green Belt being protected. This balances out the massive new developments alongside Leamington Spa, Warwick and Stratford upon Avon. If this green belt area is to also be lost then this becomes the norm for all future developments and argues against any retention of it, and in its place a better strategic plan for fairly spreading developments across the county should be considered instead of ad hoc additions to the developed areas.

Currently congestion into Warwick from the west at rush hour. If the m40 is closed Warwick, the a 46 and the m40 island become gridlocked.
Hatton and the surrounding areas are greenbelt, preventing urban sprawl of Warwick co joined with the huge Hatton park development.
Train provision from Hatton to Birmingham and London is inadequate at peak commuter times.
Canal towpaths cope with recreational use but not for substantial increase in footfall/ cycles. Hatton station is small and suitable only for local trains to utilise. There are insufficient facilities in Warwick to sustain a huge increase in population.

Congestion on the west side of Warwick occurs on a daily basis, the a46 is congested during the evening rush hour and vehicles turn off the main roads and travel through unsuitable residential areas to avoid the traffic build up. With additional lorrys and other commercial vehicles the existing road structure will not cope.
The roads cannot accommodate more traffic and the additional issues caused by hs2 will compound the damage to our fragile environment. This is another example of urban sprawl which green belt is supposed to prevent.

Warwick and Leamington (now a joined up unit) is already a large conurbation. The development of the last few years has been more than enough for the local schools, infrastructure and hospitals. Further development to Warwick will be ruinous.
