I would support some development on land identified in the Neighbourhood Plan, but the map shows a very large area most of which is unsuitable and such a large increase in the village is not acceptable. The map is truly alarming to look at. A detailed plan of the area is needed.

Green space is important. The fields are used daily by many local residents. I strongly believe that building on the rounds hill fields will have a very negative effect on many (a lot being elderly) lifestyle and mental health. Many people chose to move to the area because of the landscape. Kenilworth is a small town and the infrastructure would struggle. Rouncil lane is already a dangerous road with the wagons from farmers fresh and any added traffic would worsen the problem. The pavements are narrow and I have already witnessed a few ‘near misses, with the current traffic.

Wellesbourne is already the biggest village in the country and has far too few facilities to accommodate further development to the south .

I object to this area being used for growth for the following reasons:
Flood risk (to new and exisiting properties)
Too much more housing in this area will fundamentally change the character of Wellesbourne
Pressure on local services, espcially dentist and both primary and secondary schools in the area
Traffic levels on A429, especially taking into account the planned gravel works at Wasperton and the Wellesbourne market traffic
The nearest local shopping town of Stratford is also not large enough to deal with expansion in this area, especially given the number of accidents on the B4086 at Hunscote Farm

SDC already has 24.65 years of land supply with approved planning.
Facilities in the village of Wellesbourne over subscribed. Schools, Doctors etc
Traffic, gridlocked most weekends in and around the village
Flooding, one of the sites in Wellesbourne is on the side of the river risk of more flooding to village houses.
All these houses are sold at prices not affordable to local villagers.

Loss of airfield will affect some local trade (due to the tourism traffic to the cafe, viewing planes) as well as businesses such as the helicopter service facility.
Local road network cannot support additional traffic. The Stratford road has a renown accident blackspot on the bends, as well as the crossroads to Charlecote.
The southern access roads through Loxley are not suitable for increased traffic.

A depletion of farmland. Significant harm to the character of the land through loss of countryside. Impact on the viability of the airfield. Wellesbourne already has stretched education and health facilities, and cannot cope with more residents.

Infrastructure in the area is insufficient. With other proposed development at the University of Warwick Wellesbourne campus and Wellesbourne Airfield, there will be greatly increased traffic on the A429, which no longer acts as a bypass and dissects Wellesbourne East/West. This will increase car dependency and is not aligned with sustainable travel.

Further development in the area will impact the village character, with development being 2 miles from the village centre. This is not compatible with sustainable travel or a "15-minute town" vision. The area takes rainfall runoff from nearby higher ground which may have flooding impacts for the area.

Very poor and ill thought out proposals (SG15&16).
This would further remove current green space and public rights of way.
Currently Infrastructure cannot cope.
University of Warwick Campus expansion and the proposed mineral quarry in SG15 will also have an effect.
Wellesbourne has had a significant development in recent years; which has already stressed services.
We also risk losing village identity when the plans join Wellesbourne with Charlecote, Loxley and Newbold Pacey.
SG16 would remove one of the only GA airfields in the Midlands; stunting training. With the only benefit being more traffic and ironically, pollution.

Wellesbourne and Walton are villages that are proud of their separate identities which have been maintained since before the time of the Domesday Book. Currently, an acceptable green buffer exists between the two settlements comprising well-managed high-quality agricultural farmland and hedgerows.Local facilities and infrastructure can not support further expansion, school, doctors surgery and dentists at capacity,

Significant harm to the landscape and the village, flood plane. Prime land currently used as a livery yard , with great biodiversity, run off would go directly to the river dean , parts of this land aleready flood to save the village so flooding risk would be increased further downstream , beautiful nature walk for local residents , which goes all the way from the village to Walton heavily used by walkers and horse riders. 30 people would have to find alternative accommodation for their horses with livery spaces in the area very few and far between , this land

Significant harm to the character of the landscape, lack of rail connectivity, lack of educational facilities - primary school already full, impact on existing medical/health provision and urbanisation sprawl to Wellesbourne which would lose its village status, also depletion of best and most versatile land resulting in increase to flooding risk.

I strongly oppose the proposed Strategic Growth Location. Wellesbourne has already seen significant development in recent years, placing considerable pressure on local infrastructure, including roads, healthcare, and schools. Further large-scale development in and around the village would irreversibly alter its character, erode green space, and exacerbate congestion and strain on services.
Additionally, SG15 encroaches upon areas of ecological importance, contradicting the principles of sustainable development. The loss of greenfield sites to development would undermine local biodiversity and diminish the village’s distinct rural identity. Rather than expanding Wellesbourne further, development should be directed towards existing urban centres with better infrastructure capacity.

Wellesbourne has already seen significant large scale development over recent years which has resulted in poor infrastructure & level of amenities to support such growth.
Urbanising villages in the area should be avoided, we do not want to be a concrete landscape
Public transport links are poor with rail connectivity non existent.
Traffic - road network sees heavy congestion daily & the market at weekends - often traffic backing up beyond the village boundary.
Environment - this is good arable land & home to much flora & fauna & would create significant & irreversible damage to the landscape.

Only one replacement dwelling west of Loxley Lane
No development south of Loxley Road with the exception of a small area east of the drive to Chadley House
No development on the household tip east of Loxley Road
Any development as an extension of the Grange Estate to be limited with a very substantial landscape buffer created to the south and east of any development

Wellesbourne has already been developed to the size of a small town but there is not the infrastructure to support the existing size. Areas of housing are prone to flooding. Traffic congestion is already a problem at times.
