I object to the proposed developments around Hockley Heath for several reasons. Having lived here my whole life, I cherish our community and fear that development would undermine it. The village lacks the necessary infrastructure, with only one primary school and no GP surgery, making it unsustainable. Furthermore, the development would encroach on green spaces that I rely on for my well-being. I urge you to consider these points carefully.

I wish to object to the proposals affecting Hockley Heath due to a lack of engagement with local residents and the environmental impact of the developments. The proximity to the green belt and wildlife, including kingfishers and water voles, is concerning. There are also significant flood risks affecting local roads and increased pollution from traffic congestion. Moreover, the local GP services are already inadequate, and the existing primary school cannot accommodate additional residents without expansion. Overall, I believe Stratford UDC has not fully understood the implications for infrastructure and services.

I am a resident of Hockley Heath. We have limited amenities with no doctor, no Pharmacy and a small village school. I am appalled that you are considering surrounding our village with housing and destroying the fabric of our small community. It appears you are off loading your housing needs onto the people of Solihull which is NOT in Warwickshire.
I have only found out about your plans through my MP which indicates you are trying to build around us without consulting us. We will fight plans to destroy the countryside surrounding our village.

I am writing to express my strong opposition to the proposed housing development in Lapworth. The current infrastructure, including schools and healthcare facilities are insufficient to support additional housing. Further developments would place an unsustainable strain on these resources. I urge you to reconsider this plan for the benefit of our community.

I'm writing to you to express my concern following on from seeing planning proposals for Hockley Heath.
I live on park view overlooking the fields and daily see endless wildlife in there such as deer, monk jack, several breeds of birds and bats who clearly live in this space which in so so sad to be removed for development.
Secondly, there is no infrastructure in place to accommodate such proposals. Already there are lack of doctors spaces locally, not to mention how small the village school is and also no senior schools to accommodate extra children.
It's extremely disappointing to hear there is a possibility of our small village changing when there is not enough infrastructure in place.

Hockley HEATH SG24-I am against the SWLP proposals, the plan does not support the infrastructure of the village.
A housing only proposal, is not sustainable and would lead to greater traffic congestion.
Hockley Heath is already prone to floods with A3400 , SPring lane and SCHool road regularly being flooded. SG24 proposals are all on green belt, loss of this land would harm wildlife and impact biodiversity.
Transport links are currently poor and no easy access to rail services.
Where will new residents readily find employment?
No doctor surgery or pharmacy in Hockley Heath.

Firstly, we are not against development in the village. I live on a development dating to the 1980s. The Parish Council survey of needs confirmed that local residents wanted no more four bedroom detached houses but a few more bungalows and two bed properties. Plans are in place to achieve this. Building a massive development in the green fields around the village would be a disaster in this context.

WE HAVE 3 MAIN CONCERNS
1 TRAFFIC - PARKING OUTSIDE THE SHOPS AT Hockley Heath IS TREACHEROUS; THEY ARE VERY CLOSE TO THE JUNCTION OF SPRING LANE - WHEN REVERSING OUT THERE ARE MULTIPLE HAZARDS WHICH WILL BE INCREASED BY MORE TRAFFIC
2 FLOODING - THE JUNE2021 FLOODS DEMONSTRATED THE VULNERABILITY OF THIS AREA TO FLOODING FROM THE RIVER TRIBUTARIES, SPRINGS AND SURFACE WATER FLOODING. THE SITUATION WILL BE MUCH WORSE WITH THE HARD SURFACES OF NEW ROADS AND HOUSING
3. Hockley Heath STRADDLES West Midlands AND WARWICKSHIRE COUNTY BOUNDARIES AFFECTING EMERGENCY SERVICES RESPONSE CAPABILITY WHICH EXTRA HOUSING WILL EXACERBATE

Hockley Heath is bounded by South Warwickshire and Solihull districts. I see no evidence of a joint consultation on the effects of two planning authorities individual proposals.
Many local lanes are inadequate for traffic levels now, school time parent parking is chaotic and dangerous.
Medical appointments at GPs are difficult to obtain.
The proposed housing size increase must be matched by mandatory infrastructure provision.

Hi - the proposal to increase the housing sock of hockley heath from 1800 to 2,875 is very alarming. It will completely swamp the current village. The local amenities - doctors, schools, police -etc are all struggling to cope with the current population of the wider local area. This plan will place a huge burden on these services - which i think are mostly provided by Solihull. Furthermore, the additional traffic, noise and pollution as well as loss of green belt and wildlife makes this an untenable proposition.

The traffic through Hockley Heath is on a 'rat-run' between the M42 and Henley-in Arden and the A3400 which already causes congestion in the vicinity of the limited shopping facilities.

Reasons for my objection to the development are:
local facilities that are already under immense stain will be overwhelmed with the influx of such a vast population such as doctors surgery, pharmacy, the two village shops and Hockley Heath school which has limited capacity already.
impact on infrastructure, the proposed development would also devastate local wildlife. Greenbelt land is crucial for preserving biodiversity, and its destruction would displace numerous species that call it home.

If Hockley Heath were to be converted to a new town then huge infrastructure investment would be required which would be much more efficient if all covered by one local authority.
Transferring the surrounding area from South Warwickshire to Solihull would mean the new houses would not contribute to South Warwickshire’s targets.
The road network is all ready congested and local lanes are not suitable for a major increase in traffic.

The proposed development sites here seem to me appropriately manageable additional housing for the existing settlement of Hockley Heath. It is well supported by the existing transport infrastructure with the A3400 and connections to both the M40 and M42. There are community services and facilities available locally which the proposed housing development would benefit from.

The proposal will have a detrimental impact on the education & health of all families in Hockley Heath.
Precious green belt land, wildlife & biodiversity would be destroyed & pollution would be increased.
Limited public transport & access to GP’s & schools; which has affected by daughter who attends Heart of England school due to the lack of spaces at the local schools.
Residents will be impacted by disputes between councils over funding, refuse collection & transport.
The character of the village would be changed forever.

This area in Hockley Heath is one of the rural sites left. There are farms surrounding this area and we do not have the infrastructure for more houses. The state of the highways already are a disgrace. This is green belt land and should not be touched - it’s farm land

I formally object to the proposed housing developments in Hockley Heath due to multiple concerns. Increased traffic and congestion would worsen our already strained roads, especially during motorway disruptions. The tranquillity of our village, vital for residents and wildlife, would be disrupted. Parking is already inadequate, and public transport is lacking. Flooding issues would worsen with construction on saturated fields. Our small community cannot support a significant population increase, which would strain local amenities, schools, and emergency services. I urge reconsideration of these planning applications to protect our village's character and quality of life.

The nearby section of the A45 has already subjected this area to significant traffic issues over the past couple of years. Currently Hockley Heath provides an alternative route when issues arise on the M40 section nearby - a higher density population in the event of an M40 issue would drastically increase the risk of traffic accidents and gridlock

The vision is admirable but unfortunately the plans for SG24 do not meet any of the Ch 9, Ch 7, Ch6, Ch 11, Ch 10 in my opinion. As a resident in the heart of the proposed development I would suggest none of the criteria would be met by building on agricultural and woodland adjoining the M42, along the A3400 and M40 corridors, which need the 'trees, hedges and woodland' to absorb the carbon emissions, not aggravate them and add to them.
