Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

The minor roads in this area, some with restrictions, will not cope with the extra volume of traffic.

The local school and GP surgery in Fenny Compton would not be able to cope with the extra increase in population.

The land is valuable farm land, which is required to provide food to help the country be more self sustainable.

There are a number of rights of way running through these fields which are used for recreation in the peace of the countryside.

There would need to be a large scale upgrade to the sewage, water and electricity networks.

There has recently been a large development at Compton Locks, and also quite close by at Lighthorne. I don't believe we need this amount of new homes in the area.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Supporting development on G1 ensures a sustainable and well-connected future for the region. These sites benefit from strong transport links, including potential Chiltern Line rail access and HS2 connections, enabling easy commuting and reducing congestion pressures on Stratford. Unlike Green Belt sites, F3 and G1 allow housing growth without harming protected landscapes, ensuring new communities are built where infrastructure can support them. By focusing development here, we create a balanced, long-term solution that meets housing demand while avoiding urban sprawl, protecting the environment, and enhancing economic opportunities for future residents. These parcels are the right choice.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Proposed site green belt grade 2 farm land required for crops. Ground clay based prone to flooding. Infrastructure in area very poor, extremely limited bus service, no trains, roads all B, C & D that are already too busy at peak times, traffic races through poorly lit, narrow and badly maintained village roads. Insufficient room at existing primary schools. Local GP surgery already has patients from Banbury who are unable to register within Banbury. Surgery has no room for expansion. Water, electricity and sewage requires serious upgrading in order to cope with proposal. Heritage sites in close proximity require protection.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

New settlements are better than just adding to oversubscribed existing towns with their congested roadways and facilities. New settlements are driven by strategic opportunities and not arbitrary land availability. They do not add to the urban sprawl and pressures on existing infrastructures. Such sites do not impact greenbelt land which should be always preserved. Furthermore, it does not add to the urban sprawl or congestion of Stratford upon Avon.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

The infrastructure would need to be enormous and would need to be put in place before the building of houses.
The problems are vast and cause chaos to the surrounding areas, when the houses come first and it is years later that the amenities are then built if at all.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

1. Prone to flooding from run off from the Burton Dassett hills. Heavy Clay
2.Visible from Burton Dassett County Park - country amenity for Warwickshire urban population
3. Not sufficient infrastructure, Wrong side of M40 from main JLR development
4. Not close to any current village of any size - Knightcote and Northend are tiny hamlets

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

There's enough new housing in the area. Compton Locks estate in Fenny Compton has brought more traffic into the village causing traffic jams and people speeding through. Lighthorne Heath is getting a lot of new homes and besides bringing extra traffic that our small villages can't handle, it's also going to put more stress onto the Fenny Compton surgery that is already stretched to their limits.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

I believe the potential for 12 new settlements and 24 strategic growth areas is excessive, especially given the inadequate infrastructure. Roads, schools, and surgeries are already at capacity. Traffic on the C96 has increased due to nearby developments, leading to accidents and unreported vehicle removals. Access to Moreton Paddox is tight, causing delays. The proposed land west of Knightcote for 5,360 homes would exacerbate these issues and harm the Feldon Valley's natural beauty. Overall, these developments threaten the village's character and status.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Non-Green Belt, close proximity to industry at Gaydon, and direct motorway access. The new housing settlement would not have an impact on smaller villages in the way that BW would as it is not adjacent with them. Being near major routes, it would also not affect the openness of the countryside to the extent that other proposed new settlements do, since the motorway has already done so.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

This is not a good idea to build a new settlement here. It is in a flood plain and with additional housing likely to overwhelm existing plumbing infrastructure and lead to more run off into existing villages of northern and Knightcote. There is no direct access via an A road. The only accessible road is the M40 which is already at max capacity from the new lighthorne development. There is no rail network as the rail company have stated they will not put a platform in. New settlement will impact the landscape environment of historical importance

Ymatebydd: Roger Barratt

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

I object to this area being included as it is very close to the existing Lighthorne Heath development and the lack of infrastructure in the area will be detrimental to sustainability goals, in particular the lack of rail connections, forcing more vehicle traffic onto the already congested local roads and motorway.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

This proposal will impact on the character of an area of small villages dispersed around flat open countryside, the perception of which would be destroyed by the creation of a sprawling town of 5000 homes.
There will be impact on highways as other infrastructure (eg primary school) will likely be proposed. Impact on the local road network will be significant, exacerbated by the fact that most local roads are B-roads without ability to increase their capacity, whilst upgrading them would be immensely costly.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Removal of agricultural land. Area already prone to flooding due to clay soil, removal of fields will make it worse. Increased pressure on infrastructure already at its limit so upgrades to water treatment and electricity supply needed. Added pressure on Burton Dasset Country Park. Placement of that many homes in the proximity of MD Kineton. Lack of supermarkets (nearest is 8miles away), doctors, school places means the day to day needs within the settlement are not met which will mean an inevitable increase as a through route to traffic on the B4100 (Banbury Road) which already has traffic calming.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

I do not agree as:
The area is currently green farming land. The roads around the area are rural and could not cope with the increase in traffic.
The view from the Burton Dasset hills would be affected , the park in that area would be difficult to manage through over use. The area would not be able to be self sufficient as not enough water, sewerage, electric ,shops nearest supermarket 8 miles, workplaces, schools ,doctors in the area. Increased traffic in front of MOD Kineton and increased risk to the families living close to the ammunitions depot near by.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

New settlements offer a smarter approach to growth. They create jobs, support infrastructure planning, and use existing road connections for easy access. By focusing development in one area, they reduce congestion in Stratford and improve traffic flow. This approach also helps preserve green belt land by preventing scattered development. Unlike urban sprawl, which strains infrastructure, planned communities ensure sustainable growth while protecting the environment and local resources.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

This land is more suitable as a new settlement offering opportunities for a comprehensive approach to the strategic plan in terms of housing. It will take pressure off a heavily congested Stratford, but offers more opportunities for economic growth, good potential job opportunities, reduced pressure on green belt development, existing infrastructure, already stretched, and better transport connections with HS2 potential and potential Chiltern line railway development.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

this area is far too rural and has no infrastructure to support any growth,
no railway stations, hardly any bus service, only 1 GP practice which is now covering many more patients ( 5 WEEKS to see your assigned GP)!, just a couple of very tiny shops. children have to be collected by coaches to be taken to schools miles away.
the rural country roads are really struggling to cope now - verges are chewed up, massive potholes, ditches flooding over.
The visual impact from the Burton Dassett hills / edge hill will be horrendous.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

This development with F2,F3 creates a significant change to a rural location. It will have a significant detrimental impact to biodiversity, heritage sites, rural character, the local community, existing properties and residents, loss of farming. The site lacks all the necessary infrastructure to support such a development. The Feldon Basin land frequently floods, no integrated transport infrastructure, no railway station, dependancy upon cars. J12 has become increasingly busy and is not designed to handle the requirements from this development. Ancient wood Itchington Holt and is inhabitants will be severely impacted. This development is entirely incompatible with the rural area.
