This space of open field for farming provides the natural beauty for a boundary between Cubbington and Lillington. It should be respected and maintained. I should be respected. Not only is it vital to nature, it is also excellent for healthy living by exercising walks. There is an eco balance required to maintain village life, massive housing development project will destroy this. . There are many other ares that are already under construction and development. These would be most like far more suitable and more cost-effective for further development. I hope this is well received and understood. Kind Regards Clifton

This site is green belt land. I strongly disagree with building any new homes on green belt land. This area is home to many beautiful walks, often enjoyed by dog walkers and hikers and is part of many trails to and from the castle. There are also areas within this section where there has been considerable effort to grow more trees. I don't want that to be a waste of time.
However new homes on the old sixth form are okay. They should NOT expand from that.

Currently Kenilworth is surrounded by new house building. The road networks cannot cope now. Therefore to add development in Rouncil Lane will not be beneficial. This is too close to our historic castle. The facilities within Kenilworth, eg dr practices, are not being given funding to cope with extra demand. They are already at capacity. The A 46 cannot cope with even more traffic and the close proximity of HS2 adds to the chaos locally. This is not the place for more housing within an already shrinking GREEN BELT.

Adds to existing well established infrastructure and as a large town, it already provides employment with significant further opportunity for expansion. Business owners do not want to come to a brand new site with no facilities, it is too risky for them in an already challenging economy.

This is steeply sloping and will be very visible from Leek Wootton.
The sloping nature of the site will make it difficult to build on and will require retaining walls which are ugly and very urban
The separation between Kenilworth and Leek Wootton will be destroyed
There are other better sites even around Leek Wootton
You need to undertake a visual impact assessment of all the proposed sites
It is much better to have a few larger sites than dot development onto most settlements
Road congestion will become much worse

This location could be included in the plan provided a number of key requirements are met, namely (a) active travel to facilities in Kenilworth is prioritised, (b) houses are built to the highest levels of sustainability (as is being planned for the adjacent Rouncil Lane former school site), and (c) a community centre, green spaces, and play areas are designed in from the start. The development should be to create a new community, not simply to tack yet more 'anywhere' houses on to Kenilworth.

Kenilworth 6thform has no space for additional students. it was built with no spare capacity for the town to be able to almost doibe in size, Already there are issues with traffic, lack of available nhs dentists, fire brigade cover has been reduced. No added infrastructure has been developed for kenilworth to be able to reasonably cope

Green belt is thin between Coventry and Warwick and in order to prevent merging of two towns (Kenilworth and Warwick) any development along the Warwick Road south of Kenilworth should not be permitted.

The resulting traffic increase through Kenilworth and Leek Wootton would be unmanageable. Leek Wootton’s Woodcote Lane junction is unsuitable for increased traffic flow which would be seen on the lane and Warwick Road. Pedestrian crossing here is already dangerous. Additionally traffic into Kenilworth is already congested when following Warwick Road. There is a future distinct possibility that this development would lead to Leek Wootton losing its distinct village feel with housing between the village and Kenilworth become closer. Finally Kenilworth does not have the large grocery shopping provision that would be needed again increasing traffic to Warwick via Leek Wootton.

Rouncil Lane is part of the National Cycle Route 52 and therefore increase in traffic volumes would be extremely hazardous to cyclists who use this route.
Selection of sites should be independent of Developers preferences whose criteria maybe cheaper to develop.
Foul drainage is already a concern on Rouncil Lane as it is inadequate to cope with current volumes.
Developing SG04 would not meet the requirement of a 20-minute neighbourhood no GP, Dentist or transport.
No exceptional circumstances to justify removal of green belt in accordance with NPPF.
SG04 is second lowest housing capacity yield of all spatial growth areas.

I would support a small-scale development here. The road is a country lane, unsuitable for heavy increased traffic. More homes here will lead to further, longer traffic queues at the Rouncil Lane/Warwick Road junction, especially at peak times.

The area within Leek Wootton & Guy's Cliffe Parish is Green Belt land, good agricultural land and extending Kenilworth into the buffer zone keeping Leek Wootton a separate village community away from adjacent conurbations. There is also sufficient grey land to meet the housing targets without developing on the green belt.

This is green belt land with significant amenity benefit; well outside 15 minute walking distance from shops, train station and medical centres.
Traffic:
Traffic from SG04 would add to already congested junctions and will use Rounds Hill-Fishponds as a ‘rat run’ or travel South along Rouncil Lane. These are Sustrans route 52.
SG04 directly contradicts requirements of Strategic Objective 3, in particular: active travel; sustainable modes of travel through enhancing greener networks for walking and cycling; Recreation.
Better options for development with better transport links and work opportunities at SG1 and SG3 B1; E1; X2 and BW and in ‘grey’ areas.
Heritage:
I am particularly concerned about the negative impacts on the grade 1 listed building and Scheduled Ancient Monument of Kenilworth Castle of the potential development of SG04.
The views from the castle currently contribute to the castle’s setting and historical ambience. The surroundings have been carefully preserved to maintain the visitor experience; particularly relevant to those in the Elizabethan Garden and Keep. Kenilworth Castle is one of few local properties managed by English Heritage and its attractiveness to visitors is significant, very much benefitting the local economy.
The NPPF emphasises that heritage assets and their settings should be protected. Development of SG04 could therefore conflict with national and local planning policies by ‘significantly impacting the setting of a grade 1 listed building’ and I would hope and expect it to trigger objections from Historic England or similar bodies.

This is within Green Belt land and will lead to permanent damage to the environment and biodiversity which is in dramatic decline already.
The development will worsen already busy traffic in the area increasing noise and air pollution to the detriment of local population. There is no appropriate road or public transport infrastructure in the area or any genuine consideration to how this will be improved.

Undermines purpose of green belt to stop merging of villages. Gap would be reduced between Leek Wootton, Beausale, Warwick and Kenilworth with Kenilworth boundary extending into countryside.
In accordance with NPPF there’s no exceptional circumstances to justify removal of green belt which should remain protected.
Historical inadequate foul drainage problems. Rouncil Lane abattoir associated.
Cyclists safety seriously compromised by increased traffic Rouncil Lane , Rounds Hill being part of National Cycle Route 52.
Existing schools oversubscribed,. Not 20 -minute neighbourhood, no GP, train/bus, secondary school.
Sites should not be influenced by Developers preferences for cheapness and ease.
important biodiversity lost.

The area SG04 is not a sustainable site. Currently living close to this area I can confirm that the edge of this area is already outside accessibility to any local amenities such as schools shops or medical facilities. This means that SG04 will be totally outside a sustainable area.
This green belt site would also mean that it would join the conurbations of Kenilworth and Leek Wootton which green belt is supposed to prevent.
The area is of outstanding natural beauty with views to and from Kenilworth Castle, therefore having a huge visual and environmentally detrimental impact.
