Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

SG19 should not be considered because it would:
• Double the number of houses south of the river
• Take out the amenity land between Trinity Mead and Waitrose
• Cause more congestion
This development would harm the character of the landscape. There is Overdevelopment of the area already. There would be a significant increase in traffic impacting the B4086 and Clopton bridge. Tiddington village has retained a separate identity from Stratford upon Avon through the establishment of a ‘strategic gap’ of undeveloped land, which SDC has taken into consideration when assessing planning applications. This distinction should continue to apply.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Stratford upon Avon can not expand as the existing roads are insufficient for traffic travelling to, from and through Stratford upon Avon. Traffic travelling through Stratford upon Avon needs a completed ring road and additional bridges over the Avon river. Visitors and locals travelling to Stratford upon Avon by car are discourage by the traffic congestion and limited parking. This explains the decline of available shopping which is not being replaced.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

The proposal for an additional 5500 dwellings south east of Stratford defeats the objective on new settlements and would provide a belt of housing around the town that would create more problems with regard infrastructure and additional travel through the town .

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

I feel this (along with SG18) is one of the most suitable sites for housing of all. This is a logical extension to the well established communities South of Stratford-upon-Avon. It is well supported by the current and additional infrastructure already in place including access to the A422. The town has excellent community services and facilities close at hand including significant leisure, retail and employment and the hospital in the town.

Ymatebydd: Mrs Sharon Taylor

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

I do not agree with the proposed SG19 location being considered for inclusion because:
1. More suitable sites: the Bearley extension - north of Stratford, , easier road/rail links for urban areas where employment, etc already exists.
2. SG19 near to river (flooding) and not sustainable in terms of road structures, schools, health care, shopping - all traffic has to go over the ancient bridge for these amenities.
3. SG19 will lead to coalescence and urbanisation. Neighbourhood Plan was adopted with two strategic gaps in this area. Planning Appeal Inspectors have, in recent history, deemed it unacceptable to build here.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

I strongly oppose the plan to add housing in the area around Tiddington. My family recently moved to Tiddington last year precisely because of it's quiet, village setting just outside Stratford. The proposed plan would completely destroy this, adding further congestion, increase flooding risk and most importantly, destroy Tiddington's unique identity that has existed for centuries.

Ymatebydd: Mr James Langran

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

I oppose the proposals due to severe concerns about landscape damage and overdevelopment. The lack of adequate rail and road infrastructure, particularly the B4086 and A429, will lead to substantial traffic increases, impacting nearby villages. Local services like schools and healthcare are already overwhelmed. Critically, the proposals threaten Tiddington's distinct identity, maintained by a "strategic gap" of undeveloped land, a policy recognised by the South Warwickshire Plan.

The increased pressure on roads into Stratford like the Tiddington Road will push the traffic issues to breaking point. The flood plain can’t be built on for new infrastructure without causing damage to the surrounding countryside including where I live in Alveston by the river.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Massive strain on existing infrastructure (water supply, sewage, drainage, schools, doctors).
Traffic congestion in the town centre and south of the river Avon.
Road infrastructure cannot cope; Clopton Bridge is already way over design capacity.
Run off from the development leading to increased flooding which has already got worse and will progress due to climate change.
Threaten the independence of Tiddington and Alveston leading to a coalescence of Tiddington and Straford removing the strategic gap.
A new relief road crossing between Alveston and Tiddington would be massively intrusive, very costly and not connect to the strategic road network.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

I disagree because:
- it would create a housing collar around Stratford that would lack the infrastructure required to support the additional houses.
- new residents would be forced to travel to access jobs, schools, doctors surgeries, shops and other amenities that would put an unbearable strain on the local transport network
- it would destroy the culture and character of Tiddington and Alveston, that is part of our local heritage and immensely valuable to residents
- specifically, it would destroy the strategic gap between Tiddington and Stratford that is included in the current Neighbourhood Development Plan

Infrastructure: traffic already, especially when traveling across the river.

No schools built for decades, at capacity yet population ballooning

More people, less green areas is just reckless. this will see outdoor clubs disappear because they are forced to shared smaller and small pools of land

Jobs, the town just doesn't have the employment needs set out in these plans. if you go ahead they'll need good access to motorway, which they don't have south of river.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Development in SG 19 would destroy the stategic gap between stratford town and tiddington village settlement which has been supported by sequential planning decisions and appeals
It would create edge of town isolated communities without appropriate infrastructure or transport links dependant upon the use of bridge foot crossing which is already over used
There will be increased risk of surface water flooding in an area already susceptible to run off flooding
There would be an unacceptable increase in traffic flow through Tiddington village.

The Banbury and Tiddington Roads are already very conjested at certain times. The character of the historic town will change. The flooding of fields near the River Avon is essential to stop houses flooding. Flooding is ever more regular due to building.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

This development would create an isolated ribbon of housing on the outskirts of Stratford. It would increase traffic through an already congested town. It would threaten the separation of Alveston & Tiddington from Stratford.
A relief road would be required, crossing the river. To do this between Alveston & Tiddington would involve crossing a wide area of flood plain, which would require an extensive and costly structure. A river crossing to the west of Stratford would would be simpler and connect easily with the exsisting road structure.

Will
-defeat objective of New Settlements and form "collar" round SE of Stratford, decimating remaining wildlife,
- residents will have to travel through town to access employment causing more traffic /pollution.
-cause Tiddington /Alveston to coalesce into Stratford, losing separate identities.
-road infrastructure will not cope causing more congestion in town/south of river;
-new relief road and river crossing between Tiddington /Alveston, would be intrusive, require large expensive structure across flood plain and impact on both villages (a bypass and river crossing to west of Stratford would be less intrusive and link directly to A46 and strategic road network).

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

I am against this proposal that effectively doubles the number of houses south of the river ... it is just far too many and really damages the feel and amenity of the area.
As designated in the NDP, a strategic gap must be maintained between Stratford and Tiddington and with Alveston too.
All this housing can only be detrimental to the flood risk as well as causing yet more congestion in our historic town.
I am yet to be convinced of an adequate infrastructure plan that supports the growth in housing.

Ymatebydd: Stratford-upon-Avon Town Transport Group

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

SG Areas which circle historic towns provide a collar affecting both the effectiveness of new development and the pre-existing town. Major growth options spread towards existing villages, potentially overwhelming them, detracting from investment in new settlements.
Infrastructure is constrained by the historic layout of the town, it suffers major congestion. The transport assessment suggests increased bus services to provide connectivity, however in a congested road system, these are unreliable and unacceptable by many. The TTG does not support SG19. It is remote from significant employment options and therefore require trips through the town to access employment and sustainable transport commuting.

Ymatebydd: Mr Gerard Ingram

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Development of this area would fundamentally change the historic town of Stratford and place unacceptable strain on local infrastructure, with Clapton bridge and the town centre unable to cope with the increased traffic. Furthermore the latest Local Neighbourhood plan has already rejected any development of the area between Loxley rd and Stratford Town Football Club as this would impact the Strategic Gap identified to keep Tiddington separate from Stratford.
Further development of this area so close to the river would increase the risk of flooding, as already seen in Tiddington after the Bovis and Spitfire developments on the Loxley Rd.
