Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

This proposed development will destroy protected Greenbelt land, farmland, and vital wildlife habitats. Our village lacks the infrastructure to support such an expansion, with overstretched doctor surgeries and public services. The local roads cannot accommodate increased traffic, posing safety risks and congestion issues. Greenbelt land is meant to prevent urban sprawl, and the National Planning Policy Framework states it should only be developed in exceptional circumstances, which this proposal does not meet. Alternative brownfield sites should be considered first. This development would permanently damage our environment and community and should be rejected.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Increasing Hockley Heath from approx 1,800 to potentially 10,000 people is not feasible.

There is no infrastructure to support the influx.

The absolute and complete destruction of nature and farmland would be so shocking. There will be a loss of, Trees (increase in co2) Hedgerows, and wildlife, (Bats, Badgers, Deer, Hares, other insects and reptiles)

Air quality will be poor, noise pollution will increase massively.

Hockley Heath residents are completely opposed to this plan. There is not one positive to this proposition.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Having lived in this peaceful and beautiful village for over 20 years I strongly disagree with the planned housing. Not only will this impact the wildlife it will also change the feel of the village which will also negatively impact the house prices. The main reason we chose this area is because of the countryside views and walks on our doorstep. This change will negatively impact many people across the village including myself and put pressure on already overly subscribed services such as doctors / schools etc.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Insufficient services to manage current population of Hockley Heath, area lacks drainage, prone to flooding already, lacks waste/other services generally.
School/nursery in village already oversubscribed, limited access to other schools in catchment area
No doctor/chemist facilities in the area
Poor public transport facilities, roads already busy in/around the village, increased housing will exacerbate problem substantially
Village roads in poor state, not maintained, pot holes, flooding, blocked drains, substantial fly tipping, fields surrounding lanes regularly flooded, excess water flooding lanes
Detrimental impact on wildlife
Impinging green belt
Plans excessively out of scale for size of village, detrimental impact on current residents

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

The size of the proposed development would put unacceptable pressure on local amenities. There is no schooling in the village for the amount of houses proposed. There are no medical facilities and limited public transport links. This would lead to increased traffic and pollution as well as the loss of green spaces and habitat for wildlife.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

- No plans for infrastructure the roads & back roads are already poorly managed, how will they cope with 1000s more vehicles, road & infrastructure upgrades will be required
- Additional flooding risk on roads due to less drainage, which we already see even with fields to drain off rain water
- No plans for Doctors, Chemist or Schooling to absorb the 1000s more people
- Not opposed to new housing / affordable housing to enable and stimulate growth, Facts are it needs the infrastructure now or during build to allow growth without creating issues as noted above

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Has anyone actually aligned this plan with Solihull councils plans? We have just had the massive Blythe valley development in Solihull which borders Hockley Heath. This has put a massive strain on the roads ,schools and dental surgery. We have no doctors and we all have to travel miles to see a GP. Even children attending the local primary school cannot get into the secondary school even though they are in catchment. What will your plans do for these issues. No pavements along existing pot holed roads. redesign existing townswhere we have massive amounts of empty stores/shops get them repurposed.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Hockley Heath is a small village without a GP surgery and a small primary school which could not take any more children. The village is beautiful, the residents want to keep it as a village as that is why they bought their house in the first place to live in a small village. The Stratford Road is already very congested during rush hour and also floods severely when we have a lot of rain. To increase the village by the insane amount of housing is cruel, damaging and unnecessary. The wildlife that will be killed and driven out is disgusting.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

The submission for Hockley heath is against environmental practices. You would be building on green belt land, getting rid of valuable green space and wildlife. The land is also a flood plain. The village does not need more housing. Otherwise it will lose its village feel and community. There are not enough schools, doctors or other amenities.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Loss of wildlife - previous housing development Aylesbury Park already destroyed habitat enjoyed by wildlife
Currently used for agricultural production
No facilities for schools and GPs
Inadequate narrow footpath on Aylesbury Road which is dangerous
Inadequate lighting on Aylesbury Road
Increased traffic on what is an already busy country road with constant speeding traffic.
Proposed area includes a natural lake, building over would create a flood plain
Area is currently subject to flooding.
Proposed development will not be affordable housing ie £250k

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

The village would not be able to cope with this growth. The infrastructure isn’t there to cope with current demand. Struggle to get doctors appointments and the bus service is unusable unless you are retired and have hours to spend getting to places. Areas within the village are already prone to flooding, more development would only increase this. I want to live in a village not a town or a city, if I wanted that I would choose to live there.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

I feel that this plan, combined with those being proposed by Solihull cc will create too large an urban area for the infrastructure (roads, sewers, doctors etc) to cope with. The Stratford Road in Hockley Heath always floods when it rains and this will be worse if the surrounding fields are built in

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

You would be turning a village into a town without additional infrastructure, such as schools, GPs, Greenland, parks etc. school places are already massively over subscribed. Green Space and biodiversity would be massively impacted. House prices in the area would be impacted and air pollution increased with traffic congestion which is already an issue in the area including flooding. Water & waste infrastructure isn’t available given population growth via STW. How are you going to protect public right of ways and green spaces? Nothing has been considered in the plans to protect wildlife, biodiversity and public health and welfare!

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

The farm land around the village which is proposed for development provides a buffer between the existing residential area and the nearby motorways and Blythe valley developments. Development of this space would increase the village so significantly that’s it’s identity as a village would be completely lost. With local roads and services such and doctors and schools already at or over capacity the increase would only add to the existing problems. The land also provides much needed income for the local farming community who are already under pressure as well as being providing a habitat for wildlife

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

The proposed development areas are all productive farmland. As a nation we should not be building on farmland and relying on other countries to provide our food. This is unsustainable.

Local schools, doctors, dentists, are all over subscribed.

Traffic is a massively increasing all the time due to the amount of other developments locally and further afield. The present infrastructure cannot cope with continuing increased pressure.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

I strongly oppose the proposed plan in Hockley Heath as it will harm local wildlife, particularly deer, which have increased in my old field since the Blythe Valley development. The country roads are unsuitable for more traffic, and our British countryside will be destroyed. I am especially concerned about the field between Ashford Lane and Rotherham Oaks Lane, which backs onto a canal and is on a small country lane. We keep horses on the adjacent field, and construction would seriously risk their safety. This plan is unsuitable, irresponsible, and prioritises development over environmental protection and animal welfare.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Hockley Heath is a small and unique community which would be destroyed by all of the proposed plans. Whilst you have factored in a primary school development how and where do you propose to put those children once they have finished? Blythe Valley is a prime example of what shared housing will bring to HH. I have witnessed first hand the amount of anti social behaviour that goes on in that area. If you were to ask the residents of BV you would very quickly realise it is not as idyllic as it seems because of shared housing

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Spring lane is too dangerous to add an influx of vehicles turning in and out of. It’s narrow with blind bends. The new homes would have a lot of noise from the motorway.
There aren’t sufficient school places for primary or secondary children.
Not sufficient health care as we do not have a doctors surgery.
Removal of wildlife, especially bats which roost on spring lane.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

I oppose the proposed development of areas around Hockley Heath. Not only are the proposed developments in green belt land which should be illegal but they would also completely destroy this quiet village. There are enough houses and people in this local area already, there are a lack of services available in the immediate area for the people already here and the proposed developments would increase issues with drainage and services. Not to mention the adverse affect on the health of all current residents and the many wild species of animals that also reside in this area.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

The site SG24 has not been considered fully. Increased flooding risk, lack of amenities that are supported by the Warwickshire council. There is a very obvious lack of consideration for the village and those around it.
This would push the size of the population up by 7x or more.
This will impact the resources of the surrounding villages in Solihull and will therefore Warwick be offering any investment into them as each already has there own plans of increased housing and therefore already a lack of facilities.

The main consideration for me is the serious flooding increase this will cause.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

We have lived on Stratford Road in Hockley Heath for 18 months. In that time we have had sewage in our back garden at least 5 times. The existing drains cannot cope with moderate or heavy rain (increasing in frequency), "hydraulic overload" occurs and, in addition to surface water flooding, water flows the wrong way, coming up the drains in our back garden and bringing sewage with it. Further properties cannot be added without a major upgrade from Severn Trent.
