As residents of Wellesbourne we strongly object to including the Land East of Kineton Road (SG16) as a site for future housing development. Key points include:
Inadequate Infrastructure: Current services and infrastructure cannot support additional housing.
Heritage and Environment: Development would harm heritage assets, a recently discovered monument, and agricultural land.
Flooding and Congestion: Increased risk of flooding and traffic congestion.
Community Opposition: Nearly 500 objections from residents and organizations, including the Parish Council.
Unsustainable Development: Contradicts the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) and Core Strategy guidelines, impacting the environment, economy, and social well-being.
We urge the removal of this site from future development plans due to its unsuitability and the significant negative impacts on the community.

Other proposed development on Wasperton Lane in Barford include a square of land to the north of the road adjacent to Dugard Place. This is inappropriate for development because it is accessed by a narrow roadway and would be bolting on of new residential premises which would contribute to traffic problems

The residential development proposed the other side of the road opposite Dugard Place would be on Best Most Versatile land and be contrary to food security objectives. It would also add significantly to the traffic on Wasperton Lane which is a single track road and incapable of coping with a large volume uplift of cars. There are no public transport options other than one bus service in the village so it is reasonable to expect most people to own cars.

I wish to object to the proposed developments around our villages. I live in Kineton but have strong links to Tanworth-in-Arden and Wellesbourne. While I've seen new housing benefit local shops and communities, these developments would transform our villages into towns without the necessary services. The increased traffic, especially in Kineton, would create significant issues at narrow junctions. Additionally, the Labour Party's manifesto promised housing on brownfield sites, yet these proposals target green fields, which would permanently damage the natural environment. I urge a reconsideration of land around existing towns for housing, as South Warwickshire's villages should remain distinct.

Site 712 – land on the east side of Church Lane, Barford
SUMMARY
Severt Trent is already struggling to cope with foul and storm water treatment and serious discharges of sewage into the river Avon are already occurring. The site will place additional pressure on neighbouring properties and the local drainage system, in respect of both surface run-off and foul water.

I am writing as a concerned resident of Lilac View with regards to the proposed development in our vicinity. This threatens our community and the surrounding ecosystem. Increased traffic will create chaos on our streets, risking safety and disrupting our quality of life. The construction will worsen existing flooding issues and pose a risk of contaminating our lake, which is vital for local wildlife and our recreation. Moreover, air quality will decline due to heightened pollution from construction and traffic, impacting vulnerable populations. I urge the council to reconsider this development to safeguard our community, environment, and natural resources against the profit-driven motives of construction companies.

We object to proposed new developments on the field off Cox Crescent (Plan Ref: 633 and 469), adjacent fields, and near Green Acres Nursing Home (Plan Ref: 462, 437, 446 & 478). These developments could cause serious flooding and increase traffic on an already overcrowded road.
Key Concerns:
• Flooding Risk: Our current drainage system, including the attenuation ponds, will NOT be able to cope with additional development, putting the area at serious risk of flooding.
• Traffic Issues: Only one exit from the area – and the main road is already problematic. More development means more traffic, making the situation worse.
• Slope Concerns: The fields are on a slope, which increases the risk of runoff and flooding.

I would like to express my objection to further housing developments in the Budbrooke / Hatton area.
I have walked this area for many years with a friend and it is an area of unspoilt countryside. We also walk along the tow path near Hatton Locks.
It would be another expanse of countryside lost for further housing - then it would be lost forever. Please take my objection into consideration.
I myself live near Whitnash, the first phase of 'Warwick Gates'. There are so many different housing developments being built beyond this area, that it will very shortly link up with Bishops Tachbrook. So many houses and not enough infrastructure, just mass housing, everywhere. Now I see that even more houses are going to be built near
Gallows Hill. Traffic is already very busy in this area - we are losing our green spaces and I'm very sad about it.

Concerns regarding location within Green Belt and capacity of rural road network and infrastructure, already under considerable strain to support any further developments of multiple homes. Many of Hampton-on-the-Hill's roads are single-lane, particularly where parking restricts space, leading to delays, road rage, and accident risks. Roads are already used as rat run for drivers avoiding congestion on A46 or to access Warwick Parkway. Widening or upgrading them would not be possible due to the houses already on the roadside and the rural character of the village, any attempt to do so would severely disrupt local environment, wildlife, and surrounding properties.

Significant concerns due to the development’s location within the Green Belt and the unsuitability of the local rural road network and infrastructure, including schools, GP services, and water, which are already under strain. The Green Belt is protected to prevent urban sprawl unless exceptional circumstances exist. Removing this land would weaken protective barriers, allowing further sprawl. The rural roads, some which are single lane, are already used as rat runs by drivers avoiding congestion on the A46 or accessing Warwick Parkway. Widening them is not possible due to the village's character and would disrupt & harm the environment and wildlife.

HELAA Sites 381 and 382 score poorly in relation to connectivity on the basis it concludes it is not adjacent to the settlement. This is based on a built-up area boundary which does not recognise the Rosebird Centre and Springfield Close as built development - which form part of the town. This has meant Sites 381 and 382 do not perform as well as they should do in the HELAA, and the HELAA should be corrected prior to the next iteration of the Plan.

[SITE REFID 600]
The land is currently an open field situated between the rear of our house and Terry's Pool. Any building in the field would detract from the view from our house and probably reduce the value.
Infrastructure: at present access to Malthouse Lane is partly on the causeway between The Lakes. The extra traffic would increase problems already experienced across the causeway.
The access to the proposed site is limited.
Local wildlife including deer use the field.
The ground is marshy and not suitable for building.
Flooding. Water tends to flow from Malthouse Lane down towards The Lakes. In heavy rain this is more relevant and there is often streams of water running to this site.
We will no longer have a private back garden will be overlooked by any new buildings.

I am formally objecting to the inclusion of Land at Hatton as a Strategic Growth Area in the South Warwickshire Local Plan. As a resident with children in local schools, I believe the development would strain local infrastructure, including roads and healthcare facilities, which cannot accommodate a large population influx. Additionally, the environmental impact, such as habitat loss and pollution, raises significant concerns. This development would also disrupt the existing community's character and quality of life. I urge the council to reconsider this site and explore alternative locations. Thank you for considering my objections.

Further housing developments in a recently expanded village will place unsustainable pressure on local infrastructure, services, and the environment, threatening the village's rural character and quality of life. The site’s location within the Green Belt raises concerns, as it is protected to prevent urban sprawl and preserve the open countryside. The existing rural road network, already strained by narrow lanes and used as rat run, is not suited for additional traffic. Local services, including schools, GP, and water infrastructure, are at capacity, and further development would overwhelm these resources. Approving this project would set a dangerous precedent for urban sprawl.

It is entirely inconsistent with the overall approach to development set out in the Preferred Options consultation to keep under consideration sites put forward by developers which are neither in the strategic growth locations nor any potential new settlements and are over one hectare in size These sites should be excluded from consideration. Any other approach risks unplanned, random growth which is not supported by adequate infrastructure.
There is nothing in the Preferred Option proposals that requires or justifies the continued consideration for development of nearly 100 hectares of land at Radford Semele.

Rosconn Group represent the owners of Land north of Captain's Hill, Alcester (REFID 474) - a highly sustainable site located wholly within Priority Area 1, and entirely suitable (HELAA part B - score 31.97, well below median score of 45). When assessed against the NPPF and PPG, the site would qualify as 'Grey Belt' due to its performance within Parcel ALC3 for purposes a), b) and d), meaning it is sequentially preferable for Green Belt release (NPPF148) than other greenfield, Green Belt sites.
Site is 'Deliverable' within first 5 years, making a suitable allocation to aid 5 year land supply.

I formally object to the proposed Strategic Growth Area and New Settlement in South Warwickshire, specifically regarding infill sites in Lapworth. As a resident, I am concerned about the lack of transport services, poor road conditions, and overburdened utilities and amenities. The village's infrastructure cannot support additional housing, which would transform it into a congested area, undermining its rural character. I believe larger developments with appropriate infrastructure would be more suitable. I also have specific objections related to the site proposal at Station Lane & Meadow Lane. I request that these allocations be refused. Thank you.

I am concerned about the proposed removal of green belt land south of Hatton, which I believe will significantly impact the local area's character and infrastructure. The existing road structure cannot handle increased traffic, compromising safety for children and other residents. Our local amenities, like schools and GP services, are already strained, and the loss of green spaces would diminish the quality of life in our community. Additionally, I have personally faced financial loss due to ongoing road works, and further development would exacerbate these issues. We value our environment and support community efforts to preserve it.

The proposed development at Little Hallend Farm, Blunts Green (RefID: 737) is unsuitable due to highway constraints, environmental impact and infrastructure strain. Hallend Road is a single-track road, only accessible via another single-track road with a 4.1m railway bridge, restricting larger vehicle access. The area serves six equestrian facilities and a veterinary practice increasing safety risks. The site is Green Belt land, contravening NPPF Paragraphs 142-144. Local schools and healthcare are at capacity. The proposal threatens biodiversity and increases flood risk, failing Stratford-on-Avon Core Strategy Policies CS.1. CS.5 and CS.26. Site 758 lies within proposed New Settlement Site A1 and is a partly developed site which would also now be classed as Grey Belt. The allocation of Site 758 for residential development is supported.
The current consultation does not carry sufficient certainty for the plan to move forward to Regulation 19 stage without a further chance to comment. There are too many options set out in the consultation.
It seems unlikely that plenty more sites will come forward in a further Call for Sites and sites that are already being promoted and available should be allocated.

“This PCC greatly values the Wellesbourne allotments as a vital asset to the community and
wholeheartedly supports the retention of the allotments on the whole of their current site.” So I can not understand why the Allotment site is now coloured green edged in blue and included along with the site on the eastern boundary for housing. Or is this a mistake!

I object to the planning due to the lack of infrastructure in the area. I purchased this house recently to help with my mental health due to the peace and the views which will be ruined. The fields create significant flooding on the fields and on the roads. The traffic will become even more dangerous. Speeding is an issue on the main road as it is. Inappropriate use of green belt land when other sites are available. Negative effect on wildlife and water system and drains with drastic climate change evident. Irresponsible when there are currently not enough amenities like doctors, schools, shops as it is for local villages. Jobs are not local. Stratford has less commitment and more need. Roads and traffic are awful as it is. Flooding closed the a46 and gridlocked local roads this year. No laws to protect current locals by holding no developers to account to build more amenities, drainage schools and doctors shops. Irresponsible use of green belt
