I have serious concerns about the proposed development in Hockley Heath. The land is green belt, which should only be built on in exceptional circumstances, and this case does not qualify. The village already faces drainage issues, and further development would exacerbate flooding on Stratford Road. The project contradicts Solihull MBC’s local plan, which allows only small-scale development in Hockley Heath. Increased traffic on the A34 poses safety risks, and the loss of green space would harm biodiversity and community wellbeing. The burdens to provide necessary infrastructure would fall to Solihull and its Council Tax payers which is unfair.

I am the owner of [redacted] and wish to register my opposition to the plans to increase the number of homes in our village. This would adversely impact the environment, the traffic flow and there is insufficient infrastructure to enable this to be supported. My child was not previously provided with a local secondary school so I cannot fathom how growth in the area can be supported and I am vehemently opposed.
I am happy to discuss this with you at further length.

I object to the proposal for several reasons. There is already significant traffic, and our village lacks a local doctors’ surgery and pharmacy. I am concerned about increased pollution, potential road damage from flooding, and the inadequacy of our primary school. We also have no secondary school, forcing children to travel. The risk of car and home theft may rise, and I question the affordability of the houses. Our small, quiet village is home to many elderly residents who may feel vulnerable, and I'm worried about the impact on farmland and natural habitats.

I am concerned about the proposed housing developments around our village, which would negatively impact our community. We lack a local GP and pharmacy, and nearby practices are already overstretched. The small primary school cannot accommodate more pupils. Traffic on Stratford Road is already chaotic, and increased housing would worsen delays and pollution. Limited public transport would struggle with more residents. Flooding issues would likely worsen with more development, and I believe we must protect green belt land for future generations and biodiversity. I urge reconsideration of these proposals.

I oppose the proposed housing development at Hockley Heath due to several significant concerns. Firstly, there are existing flooding and drainage issues that further development would worsen. The site is on Green Belt land, which should only be developed in exceptional circumstances, and the proposal conflicts with Solihull MBC’s local plan for small-scale developments. Additionally, increased traffic would heighten safety risks, harm local wildlife, and alter the village's character. The infrastructure cannot support such a large development, and the burden on Solihull’s resources is unfair. I urge the Councils to reject this proposal.

I am writing to express strong opposition to the proposed construction of up to 4,300 homes in Hockley Heath village. This development would devastate our village and significantly affect its current residents. The area lacks sufficient amenities to support an influx of nearly 10,000 new residents, which would also harm local house prices and destroy valuable green belt land. The natural countryside is integral to Hockley Heath’s charm. The community is united in opposing these plans, which are not environmentally friendly and would be detrimental to our area.

We are strongly opposed to plans to build up to 4,300 homes in Hockley Heath. There are not sufficient amenities, shops, or travel infrastructure to cope with the extra residents. It would negatively impact house prices and destroy green belt land. The countryside feel village is one of the main factors that make Hockley Heath attractive. The Labour government's housing plans are not environmentally friendly and are a disgrace. The housing market is already slow and houses here have been for sale for the last 18 months. This is not the area for such plans.

Although the development falls within South Warwickshire, the burden of the new development would impact on Hockey Heath. The village doesn’t have the infrastructure in terms of school, health, transportation. Increased traffic on the A34 will also cause more accidents. Hockley Heath will loose its rural identity, harm wildlife and have an impact on the wellbeing of the residents.

I formally oppose the inclusion of SG24 in the SWLP due to its excessive scale, which threatens local identity, wildlife, and the environment. As a South Warwickshire resident, I am concerned about the reckless approach to development that ignores more suitable alternatives. The proposal fails to meet the requirements for Green Belt release, lacks credible infrastructure plans, and poses significant risks to local biodiversity, healthcare, and drainage. The SWLP must review these issues comprehensively and consider better-performing sites to protect our Green Belt and community well-being.

I strongly object to the proposal for several reasons. Hockley Heath, a semi-rural village of about 700 homes, would lose its community spirit and rural character if it were to expand sevenfold. Development on green belt land contradicts Solihull MBC's local plan and would harm local wildlife and residents' wellbeing. Current drainage issues would worsen, necessitating new sewage works. Increased traffic from nearby developments already causes congestion, making the village hazardous. Additionally, there is no capacity for health or educational services, and it seems Hockley Heath and Solihull are unfairly expected to absorb the properties and provide facilities.

I oppose the SG24 development plan at Hockley Heath for several reasons. The area is Green Belt and should remain so, as there’s no exceptional justification for building there. Traffic congestion on local roads is severe, and the area struggles with surface water drainage issues. The existing infrastructure cannot support additional educational and health needs. Hockley Heath is a village that should retain its character, and the development would harm the environment by destroying green spaces and wildlife habitats. Furthermore, the Solihull local plan indicates that only small-scale development is appropriate for this area.

I oppose this proposal that threatens the cherished village status of Hockley Heath. Previous developments have already destabilised drainage systems, leading to increased flooding, and further building would exacerbate this issue. The plan violates green belt land and contradicts Solihull’s policy for small-scale development. Increased traffic on the A34 poses significant problems. Transforming this peaceful village into a crowded area disregards the traditional way of life. The lack of infrastructure, including a full school and closed local services, means Solihull would bear the brunt of any housing influx, potentially causing administrative disputes with the South Warwickshire authorities.

The proposed development would significantly increase air pollution and result in complete loss of amenity for existing footpaths and bridleways. Further development would worsen the area's drainage issues. The land is Green Belt and large-scale development in Hockley Heath contradicts Solihull MBC's Local Plan. Traffic on the A34 would increase, raising accident risks, and the development would harm wildlife, reduce green space, and affect residents' wellbeing. It would alter Hockley Heath’s character. The village lacks infrastructure to support such development. The burden for schooling, transport, health and refuse would fall to Solihull, leading to disputes with the South Warwickshire Councils.

I am horrified by the proposed housing development around Hockley Heath, which I strongly oppose. The village lacks the necessary infrastructure, with no doctors, limited schooling, and inadequate shopping facilities. The road network cannot accommodate the influx of cars, which would exacerbate rush hour congestion. Main and side roads flood regularly. Public transport is poor, requiring private transport to reach train stations. This development would transform Hockley Heath into a commuter town, causing disputes between councils over infrastructure responsibilities, ultimately burdening Solihull taxpayers with the costs of meeting South Warwickshire's housing numbers.

We have lived in Hockley Heath for the past 30 years and wish to make comment on the proposed plans for new builds in the area, specifically SG24.
We are vehemently opposed to any access being allowed via Park View to this proposed area. Whilst we realise that new housing has to be considered we would object to our road being used for any type of access to this site. We would strongly suggest that all access should be made from Aylesbury Road, opposite the entrance to Aylesbury House Hotel.
Park View, as you are aware falls under West Midlands ( Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council} and not Warwick District Council.
Furthermore if access was granted via Park View this road has a sharp bend into the cul-de-sac which could prove very dangerous for both drivers, properties and even more so for pedestrians.

I believe the proposed development in SG24 Hockley Heath is unsuitable due to various reasons. Solihull Council has previously deemed Hockley Heath inadequate for large-scale expansion due to poor infrastructure, and only allocated 80 dwellings after considerable assessment. The lack of public transport, overcrowded schools, and insufficient healthcare facilities further supports this. Additionally, the proposed sites are located on narrow, unsafe country lanes. I urge SWLP to discount Hockley Heath for further growth and co-operate with Solihull who have stated this area is unsuitable and development would adversely impact the local community.

Regarding planing application in Hockley Heath, I disapprove of this
As we do not have enough doctors,
schools, or even enough general facilities.
When building houses there are usually 2 cars to every household we have not got the infrastructure to take them, the country side will be ruined.

I have lived in Hockley Heath since 1983 and wish to express my objections to the proposed strategic development plans. We face ongoing flooding issues and low water pressure, which could worsen with new developments. Traffic congestion is already problematic, and more housing will exacerbate this, contributing to pollution. The environmental impact would be severe, destroying long-standing hedgerows and woodlands. Local amenities are limited, with a full school and distant healthcare services. These developments threaten the village's character, merging it into a larger urban area. I urge a reconsideration of these proposals.

I formally oppose the inclusion of SG24 in the South Warwickshire Local Plan (SWLP). As a long-term resident of Hockley Heath, I am concerned about the scale of development and its impact on our community, character, and environment. The proposal leads to irreversible destruction of green belt land without demonstrating 'exceptional circumstances' or considering better alternatives. It disregards infrastructure capacity, creating strain on local services, and poses risks to biodiversity and flooding. The SWLP must be revised to ensure sustainable development that aligns with our village's needs and character.

I oppose the inclusion of SG24 in the SWLP as a Hockley Heath resident. I am concerned about the excessive scale of development that threatens our village identity and local cohesion. SG24 has not been evaluated properly against the Solihull Local Plan, which only supports small-scale development. The proposal would harm green belt land and local biodiversity without adequate infrastructure planning or consideration of alternative sites. It also risks exacerbating flooding issues and fails to meet sustainability principles. Overall, SG24 cannot proceed as it stands, as it would irreparably damage our community and environment.

I object to the proposed development due to a lack of infrastructure in Hockley Heath, including healthcare, transport, and schools. The main roads are already congested, and delays occur when there are issues on the M42/M40. Road safety is a concern, with speeding prevalent. Flooding and drainage issues also affect the area, particularly on Stratford Road and School Road. Social housing initiatives have proven unsuccessful in such semi-rural settings. Additionally, the development would harm wildlife and reduce green space, impacting wellbeing. This large development seems inappropriate for the area.

The proposed housing estate will severely strain our village's limited amenities, healthcare, and recreational spaces, negatively impacting the quality of life for current residents. Our overstretched GP services and school capacity cannot support an influx of new families, risking overcrowding and diminished education quality. Additionally, the village's drainage and utility systems may not handle increased demand, raising concerns about sustainability. The development threatens local wildlife habitats and could lead to increased road congestion and safety issues. Without significant investment and planning, this project will harm our community rather than benefit it.

I object to the potential development (SG24) in Hockley Heath for several reasons. There are existing surface water drainage issues that would worsen with further development. The area is designated Green Belt, suitable for building only in exceptional circumstances, and the proposed development contradicts Solihull MBC's local plan that supports only small-scale projects. It would increase traffic on the A34 and impact wildlife and biodiversity, fundamentally changing Hockley Heath's character. Additionally, the village lacks the necessary infrastructure to support such development, and placing it on the edge of South Warwickshire's boundary is unfair as burdens will be placed on Solihull who have opposed this.

I oppose the inclusion of SG24 in the SWLP as it threatens my community in Hockley Heath, where I've lived for 10 years. The proposed development is excessive and undermines our village identity, going against the Solihull Local Plan that supports only small-scale growth. The plan fails to consider alternative sites and lacks proper infrastructure provision, putting pressure on local services. Additionally, it poses significant environmental risks, including harm to biodiversity and increased flooding. The proposal does not meet sustainability principles and cannot proceed in its current form.

I oppose development at Hockley Heath for several reasons. The land in question is Green Belt, contradicting the Council's stance on minimal development in such areas. This development would harm wildlife and biodiversity, and alter Hockley Heath's cherished rural character. Furthermore, it conflicts with Solihull MBC's local plan for small-scale development. I question the motivations of Stratford Council in suggesting a site that will mainly burden Solihull and question how Stratford will address the significant increase in population and its impact on local services. Additionally, I am concerned about the creation of local jobs to mitigate traffic congestion on commuter routes.

I am concerned about the housing proposals near the Hockley Heath Boundary SG24, which I see as an encroachment that will strain our infrastructure, particularly the frequently-flooding Stratford Road, A3400. Increasing housing will worsen flooding, worsening climate change issues we face. Additionally, diverted traffic from the M40 and M42 causes congestion on the A3400, affecting local residents and increasing potholes, leading to potential accidents. This proposal will impact Solihull Council, and I question why housing is being constructed on our border when there are other sites available in Warwickshire.

I am writing to formally oppose the inclusion of SG24 in the SWLP proposals for Hockley Heath, where I have lived for nearly 28 years. I am deeply concerned that the planned developments would destroy the rural character and biodiversity of our area, particularly affecting wildlife habitats. Significant issues include the designation of the area as Green Belt, inadequate local infrastructure that cannot support increased traffic, and the lack of essential services. The scale of development seems disproportionate to our village, and I strongly object to these proposals.

I believe the Plan overlooks critical factors. Hockley Heath lacks essential infrastructure like schools and healthcare facilities. Access to A3400 will be limited and will require traffic lights, which could worsen congestion during accidents on nearby motorways. I also foresee funding issues with Solihull Council. Additionally, the proposed developments are on Green Belt land, contradicting government policy aimed at preventing urban sprawl. The destruction of old trees will harm the environment, wildlife, and local ecology. I feel strongly that we should prioritise developing brownfield sites and maintain Hockley Heath as a village rather than turning

Hockley Heath does not have the infrastructure to accommodate more housing , let alone Solihull proposals . Much of the area is prone to flooding south of the village and We have a full school , no doctor’s surgery and a busy A3400 which is prone to flooding due to new housing.
The traffic congestion off the M40 and M42 motorway is frequent and causes long delay's to traffic through our village.
Please note my objection and build in your own back yard.

I wish to formally object to the inclusion of area SG24 in the South Warwickshire Local Plan. As a resident of Hockley Heath for 27 years, I believe the proposed developments will negatively impact our village. The scale of new housing is disproportionate and would threaten local biodiversity, occupying protected Green Belt land. Local services are insufficient, with no GP surgery or adequate schooling to support the increased population. Additionally, infrastructure issues such as narrow lanes and traffic congestion remain unaddressed. I urge you to reconsider these plans for SG24.
